Dano is a interesting prospect.

The rest is garbage. Just garbage.

His crazy overpay on Bickell and too high of asking price on Sharp really fucked us.

Anisimov is a 3m cap hit! So they still need to move 10. What the fuck.

This is a great day for Cheryl Scott.

That was Rick Dudley, another friend; Chevy didn't take over until the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg.

I am so saad. I knew the Bickell and Crow contracts would come back to bie us. No Leddy. No Saad. At least we got one more Cup out of it, so I won't complain too hard.

this just makes me wanna puke.

Surely if you were going to trade Saad there were better deals to be had, I would think he would be a pretty valuable guy for a lot of teams

Yes offer sheeted would have been better to avoid the salary the Hawks took back.

McKenzie tweeting that Saad wanted 6 for 36 or something in that ballpark.

If that's the case, let him get offer sheeted and get draft picks.

Dano does interest me greatly though.

I guess we'll have to see how much Saad actually signs for.

The Russian kid might be useful.

Anisimov? He's 27 and has multiple concussions.

Last report was Saad was insistent on a long deal not a bridge. So that would kill that as no room unless a total gutting. So this sounds to me like Saad or his agent did not want to play ball for the better of the team.

Sure, it sucks but I have to reserve judgement until Stan is done and we go to camp.

When you trade a cost-controlled player, you lose.

As a casual fan, I say what the hell?

Saad seemed like a guy you don't lose under any circumstances...like, a guy for whom you knowingly denude other areas of the team to keep. This team just became much worse.

You are not following. He was no longer cost controlled in a sense. He was not taking the bridge and was going to come back with a sheet ($4-5M )you cannot absorb.

You're right, but apparently other bad decisions from the team and its players made this necessary. That our #1 center makes $10.5MM and will be lucky to break 60 points on the year doesn't help.

So, if this Dano kid is good, would he be better than the level of draft picks they would get?

Maybe he was talking about CBJ with Dano.

No I will always default to CH taking stance against Hawks. See Toews shot above.

Likely.

The Palliota piece doesn't make sense.
