There was a max offer out there but he wanted to win

He won't.

The irony of it all. He and Lance are on the same team now and there is a chance albeit slight that they maybe competing for playing time at the 3. You could not have written a better script. Lance Stephenson is the only guy that shot worst from 3 than Josh and now they are on the same team. Let the record show he still had a better season than Lance or Taj. Bombs away!

Shocked no one offered him more than a minimum deal for his services. They've been giving everyone a big deal this offseason. Even Derrick Williams got $10M. The league must not realize how good he is.

He played well for Houston and played a big role in their comback win over the Clippers. 3-0 once he was asserted into the lineup. Taj 0-3. He's being paid by the Pistons. Unfortunately for Josh the days of being elite level four are over. Still better than Taj. though and it was proven once he signed with Houston. There were some teams interested but I don't think the team interested (Sac.) was a team he was interested in.

He is not at the league min. point though. He is in Nazr and Mike Miller territory. He will be a 6th or 7th man with the Clips.

Actually Nas he is really just waiting for that big TV money to come in. That's why he only signed a 1 year deal. You can book that one.

Pistons are giving him $5M until 2019 so it really isn't a big deal.

You seem to think the Taj 0-3 comment is clever. How was Taj 0-3?

Not clever but accurate. Bulls were 0-3 against Cleveland during the games he started. Outplayed by Tristan Thompson also. Josh 3-0 after being inserted against the Clips. And he put up numbers.

neither clever nor accurate. Or else I guess I need a new TV. Mine had a big dopey looking Spaniard starting game 6.

A mere technicality.

Think about this. A minimum wage Josh Smith had a better yr. than Lance and Taj. What does that say about their value?

Nothing. It just says that they had a bad year. The fact that Derrick Williams was able to get a better deal says a lot about the character of Josh Smith.

It says a lot. Lance Stephenson, one year removed from being everyone's allstar, was acquired in a salary dump. Charlotte basically gave the guy away.

I agree about Josh though. He could have got more than the min. but it could not have been much more. Probably one or two mil. but he wanted to have a chance to win. It's a steal for the Clips though because he is going to be a sixth or seventh man on their team. league minimum guys typically don't see the floor.

He is not as athletic as he used to be and I think coaches are not willing to put up with some of the bone head plays that he makes from time to time. He had a better season and a better career than the other two though. The reason for that is that he is a better player than either of them.

Taj was hurt all year..he's tough , he never complained or made excuses.. He's going to have a great season this year.

I like Taj but he just had surgery that's going to keep him out 4 months. He's had a ton of lower body injuries. I doubt he will be the player he was 2 years ago.

Richard Jefferson changed his mind and left the Mavs for Cleveland. He at least called Cuban.

The T'Wolves are about to buy out Anthony Bennett, and he will become a free agent at the age of 22.

Biggest draft bust ever?

Bulls should take a flyer on him. No downside to the move and he may be an upgrade at the three.

He has bombed as a 4, why would he play better out of position?

He is a classic tweener maybe in Hoiberg's offense you can use him as an undersized stretch four guy. I think Hoiberg is going to try some of those sort of things. There is no downside. He will sign for the league minimum and if he can't play then cut him.

He can play a little three. The Bulls have to upgrade that position. If they can trade for Rudy Gay do it, if they don't want to trade for guys then they have to get low risk guys that may be able give them something. The Mike Dunleavy as your starting three thing has to end. As a Backup three he's fine but he could not guard Shumpert or the immortal J.R. Smith. Can't watch that again. They have to upgrade the three position. Maybe McDermott will pan out but it doesn't hurt you to take a chance on a guy that won't cost you much and is fighting for his NBA life at 22
