Brady's agent said some harsh things about the NFL and Goodell in his statement yesterday. So it's clear Brady is digging in his heels. I wouldn't be surprised, if the penalty isn't completely overturned in this appeal, that Brady sues the NFL.

He might win in court too. They have no actual evidence on him.

I don't think Brady wants this to get to a real court. Almost everyone, even his supporters, believe he is guilty; the debate is over the seriousness/silliness of the rule itself or the NFL's proof or lack thereof. In a real trial, wouldn't he have to turn over his texts?

It's not the opposite.

Suspended but not fired. If you read it, the NFL made them suspend them. But like I said in the above post, Kraft has to keep them close. If he fires them, they'll sell a "Tell all" interview to the highest bidder because they'll be angry. So they will return to the team.

Florio is assuming they'll be fired. But I don't think so. If they are, it's a BIG mistake.

The Pats will pay these two jokers off. Then they will "confess" to doing it and say that they thought they were helping Brady, but Brady never told them to do it. They acted alone like Oswald

The league came down hard!

So its a bigger deal to deflate the ball than to beat the crap out of your kid, wife or gf. Got it.

One is a matter of league integrity and the other a private family matter. NFL shouldn't be involved in domestic disputes at all in my opinion, but leave such matters to the law. They are involved, however, because of the league being so well known and the players being public figures. It's a slippery slope that the NFL dictates to players how they should act away from the field. I believe Adrian Peterson had the right to discipline his child. Where he went wrong, though, is that his discipline turned into abuse.

As for Brady, he should not fight it. That will only make his situation worse with fans and with the league. He'd be pissing in his employers tent.

Beating your girlfriend or wife and threatening her with guns gets you a 4 game suspension. Destroying a cellphone and not completely cooperating also gets you 4 games. Something is wrong.

That's the argument Bernstein was espousing today. But isn't it like the Pete Rose argument? Beating your wife, though repulsive, has nothing to do with the game's integrity, whereas Brady was caught cheating.

I still don't think Brady will see this through to court. The NFL has studied this thoroughly and is confident it will prevail. Brady would probably have more power/leverage by threatening to retire.

A lawyer called B&B and said that Brady erred by destroying the phone, as he had a duty to preserve evidence when there was a "likelihood of litigation"...it doesn't matter that there hadn't been a lawsuit filed at the time.

I think it does call into question the integrity of the league. Ray Rice was only given 2 games initially. Hardy was not only able to get his entire salary last season he was also given a slap on the wrist. This penalty given to Brady is unprecedented. If he were guilty of the charges it should only be a $25k fine.

The show ballers is all about sex and drugs in the NFL. Every damn episode.

I wish the show would be more than that. For example, this Brady thing would make for a great episode. Show the goings on behind the scenes with the commisioner and his lawyers scheming to win this thing. Show Brady and his camp behind the scenes. Show the owner of the patriots behind the scenes. That would be interesting.

Obviously not the actual Brady. They can't play real players. But a made up character in a similar spot

So now Brady filed his case in Minnesota to get the judge that always been favorable to the NFLPA. But from what lawyers are saying, the NFL beat them to it. It can only be in one federal court. Usually the first to file is where it goes. So the NFL will get it in NY like they want.
