Looks like they know that a bullpen just doesn't get the job done like solid starting pitching and offense does.

Papelbon to the Nationals.

For a AA pitcher.

I'll assume the Cubs are focused on Kimbrel.

I read something earlier today that said they were possibly looking at a deal involving getting Ross and Kimbrel

That isn't exactly stepping out. Bad teams that are going nowhere, tend to unload highly paid veterans. Except for one team anyway.

That was meant for your friend IMU who said they wouldnt do it....as I proposed Baez and Castro...wasnt that far off from the price.

She is hot not even a question, but I really cant stand how bad she wants him to be on the Cubs....for what seems to be such a good dude, he really married a golddigger. I also think we got enough solid white guy vets in the OF at this point.

Are you kidding me? Jose Reyes is a career .773 OPS shortstop with good defense and Jeff Hoffman is a future 1 or 2 on a good pitching staff.

Sorry, that isn't close to Castro and Baez. Castro's BEST year was a .777 OPS, and Baez's impact in the majors is a huge question mark, whereas Jeff Hoffman has done nothing but impress in his minor league ascension. Throw in Miguel Castro and this isn't even a conversation.

That seems dumb

An above average hitter than can hit anywhere in a lineup and plays above average defense at all three outfield positions?

Don't be jealous that his wife is hotter than yours.

At one point in time he was a nice addition to any team.

But at 35 years old and a 250 hitter, he is not worth trading for.

You are right about his wife, she is smoking.

As a fourth or fifth outfielder, he is a great addition to a team. Again, this time in bold, he has an OPS of .700 and plays good defense at 3 OF positions.

Eduar Lopez was the Angels' #22 prospect. They didn't break the bank.

You could see that in her Amazing Race appearance. Nicky Getz (Chris Getz' wife) was smoking hot and a CPA from University of Michigan. Kim De Jesus was smoking hot and an aspiring actress in her 30s.

That potential trade was nixed. I would not mind the Cubs getting Gomez even though Fowler has hit better since the All-Star break.
