He went too far but he also works in the media now and gets paid to say provocative things. That probably played a part in it too. He surely doesn't say this type of stuff on that studio show. He adds nothing to that broadcast.

He catches feelings all the time on TNT too. Any time someone makes a joke at his expense or even challenges anything he's said he has to have the last word. The best was when he started whining that the strategy was called Hack-A-Shaq and that anyone who had to use it was soft.

He made himself look really small with that whole thing. At first I thought he was joking but it was obvious he was really bothered by it. He is the same guy that provides a weekly bit" Shaqtin a fool" which is designed to embarrass other NBA players. Imagine if they were as sensitive as him.
