The team with no weaknesses. Great mix of veterans and cost controlled young guys.

Its all coming together for them. The right young guys are peaking, Cole is the best pitcher in baseball, McCutchen is making up for the slow start and all the other NL teams are flawed.

Of course there is always the Cardinals and Giants but I think Pitt gets over the hump this year

or maybe it will be Trout v Harper in the WS. That'd be cool.

They're really really good at this whole baseball thing. Wouldn't be surprised if they catch the Cardinals.

I don't see them catching the Cardinals, but that would sure be fun.

I like this Pirate team a lot.

I will say they play the Royals in the World Series.

FOX execs will be suicidal. Especially with the other teams in play (NY, LA, LA, DC)

Now you've given me yet another reason to root for the Pirates & Royals.

They've been on my bad side since they fucked up this golden opportunity

Pirates vs. Royals. FOX' worst nightmare.

Pirates are going to choke and Mets/Cubs will win the WC. Never did like the pirates. Always rooted for ATL in the 90's. Some of the best playoffs where PITT VS ATL. Bonds vs Maddux

Just like a Cub fan.

IIRC, Bonds left for SF after the '92 season. Right around the time Maddux left the Cubbies for Atlanta.

We been kinda kicking the crap out of the bucs this year, I'm not worried .

Ron Gant n Terry Pendleton were my favorite Braves. Pendleton could fly , looked like a butterball but he could fly.

Yeah, those super teams never work out

Also, anytime someone says "I wouldnt want to play them in a short series" about a pitching staff, they are guaranteed to lose. Never works out. The super rotations never work. Its usually one ace, and two other guys pitching way over their head for 2 weeks (like the Cardinals in 2011, Red Sox in 13, Giants last year etc)

They won 98 games, they were a good team.

Unfortunately, it takes more than that to beat Jake Arrieta
