1. They can't interview guys coming off the field. They have to put in a request 24 hours prior for interviews.

2. They can't report where guys are lining up.

3. They can't report injuries or how it happened. Nor can they report fights.

4. They can't film practice. Only during the beginning when they are stretching.

4. They can't tweet during practices.

Here's the thing, regular fans can do all of these things. Just not media members. So if something happens, the Score should go grab a fan and put him on the air. I'm serious. That's the only way news can get reported.

Some Bears fan should put up a youtube Bears training camp page so we can see some of the cool stuff in practice.

No. These are new NFL rules from what I understand.

Here's another question. Our local TV stations can't film practice like they have done in the past. But let's say a fan captures an injury or a fight on their phone and put it up on youtube. Could the station put that youtube video on the air? Or would they get their credential revoked?

I am not sure about that as the Packers reporters were tweeting their ass off from practice today, and taking pictures and sharing them on twitter.

I'm sure teams have been doing this for years. Sending one of their pro scouts to other camps to just sit in the stands and watch. You should especially do this for your division opponents and for the team you play in week one.

I wonder if this is even against NFL rules. It's free to the public these camps. Why couldn't a scout sit with the fans? But maybe it is a rule. So I'll bet Pace and the other GMs around the NFL look in the stands to see if they recognized a pro scout that they might know and have him kicked out.

There's a league wide edict but teams are interpreting it differently. I think it's great, fuck training camp "info." I get people like to discuss sports, but training camp is up there with pre-game batting practice in terms of relevance.

I'd like to know who's playing where on defense and who's getting the most reps. Cuz we don't know who's gonna win these jobs in this new 3-4 defense. Reporters aren't allowed to report this like I said.

I also heard JD say that the Bears are not allowing media to live in the dorms like they have always done. For which they paid a very small fee to the university according to Dickerson. Now all the media outlets have to put their guys up in hotels or they have to drive to and from every day.

I'm cool with that. I never understood why the media got dorm rooms. What obligation does the University or the Bears have to lodge media members?

I've said all along, that if the NFL isn't careful, and does about 100 more stupid things, I may stop watching.

Any Chicago media outlet w/ balls would deputize a fan at practice and 'help' him report the news via twitter or even calling into a show. Imagine some random fan is the new Bears reporter. All he needs is a program and a decent vantage point to know which guys are lining up where.

I'm actually surprised the NFL would allow this policy whatsoever. They have been all about the fans and letting them get closer to the action. Hell, they require teams to do Hard Knocks. I hope as punishment the Bears are doing Hard KNocks next year and there is a camera up John Fox's ass.
