It's really not bad. Corny at times, sure, but I'm glad Weigel had the balls to do a genuine oldies/classic pop format instead of playing "More Than a Feeling" 50 times a day. We have so many stations on our dial that people had to do an end-run to add 87.7 on it. We deserve variety.

This station just pulled a 1.6 in the month of June, more than 4 times the avg ratings for The Game. Pretty impressive for a station that everyone here claimed that nobody can listen to.

Hot. Damn.

They're really filling the oldies niche well seeing as our two oldies stations decided they would rather be a watered-down Drive instead (which itself is a watered-down XRT, and XRT being a watered-down Better Version Of XRT).

Score fell to 1.9. 87.7 is catching up to the Score FUCKING LOL

Is there a way to listen online? I went to their website but couldn't see a "Listen Live" or similar button on the page.

I heard it when I had a rental car earlier this spring ... I dug it.

Not that I know of, but they're still on Comcast at channel 877, if that's an option for you.

Nay; but as the hooker said to the leper, thanks for the tip.

I listen, an I imagine a lot of other people do, not because the playlist is great, per se, but to avoid what has become really stultifying repitition by other stations across all formats. "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" is not a better song than "You Shook Me All Night Long," but it's not as seared into my brain either.

CH, is this truly an automated station, with recurrent lists and golds and all that? The other day I heard "Another Saturday Night" by Cat Stevens immediately after "Cupid" by The Spinners. These are both better known as Sam Cooke songs. That seems less than random to me, as if someone is having fun with it. I've noticed other similar incidents like that.

The worst thing on the station is the 80's white people music, which is not core. And the Eagles, of course.

All I know is that Mark Zander (former WCBR/Loop/River guy) is the program director and puts playlists together. I'm sure there are some blocks of automation but other blocks with more of a human touch.

Can't stop, won't stop, up to a 1.8 for July. If this trend holds, they'll pass the Score.

No revenue, but not really many expenses, being run out of a broom closet as it is (and this is not a company known for paying the people they do have). All anyone at Weigel has said is that they're taking their time to launch the station in earnest, but it's been about six months now and they still don't have any staff beyond PD and imaging. Maybe they've decided that they're just going to use the station as a loss leader to increase awareness of the Me-TV brand. Maybe they're waiting for CBS and iHeart to start selling stations so they can get on a real one when LP analog is ultimately shut down. I really don't know. I guess we're just supposed to trust Weigel. If you can monetize three hours of King of Queens reruns, you can monetize anything.

Fuckin' A right, Walt. I've got this, WLUW for rock, WDCB for jazz, and WBEZ for news and condescention. Rarely have to venture into the Maroon 5/Tom Petty end of the dial.

The 87.7 analog exemption has been extended to 2021. Long live Me-TV FM.

I know we joke about the frequency because of the Game, but a 2.2 for a station playing 1970s adult contemporary at 87.7 really is the shit which is bananas.

I think it speaks more to how sick people are of AOR or stations playing the hits.
