That don't mean shit , he's an average at best blocker ... Sucks between the tackles , but is really good at catching screen passes on 3rd n forever .

Marshall is hands down THE GREATEST Wide out in Bears history .

That says a lot. Marshall had a couple of really good seasons as a Bears players. Forte has had a great career. Forte is definitely above average to great at everything.

Marshall was great when he went downfield. That didnt happen for the last 1.5 years.

Forte, just misses that great RB level in my book, just because of the times he gets tackled by a finger! gets the edge, or cuts back in and fakes the guy out 99% of the way, player reaches back and grabs a foot, and Forte goes down. The number of times he is tackled one on one is really high for a guy who is to be called GREAT.

I look at his his body of work and his consistency. Even Payton didn't play his entire career with a shitty offensive line. Forte is getting awfully close to doing that. Despite having a really high usage rate and terrible offensive lines he managed to accumulate the most yards from scrimmage of any player since he has been in the NFL. That's greatness.

Keeps himself in great shape, long strides, really good speed when gets going (4.4). Catches the ball well, etc.

Short yardage getting low, not his FORTE.

Breaking a tackle, also not his speciality, when left alone one on one with a guy, thats not the OL issue.

When I think of Forte, I think of a pitch play, he gets the egde, one guy to beat, he cuts back, defender slips...but just reaches out and grabs and knee or foot, and Frote stumbles down as he sees 30 yards of open green in front of him.
