I don't know why it is tough to admit you wish he won more games? I'll readily admit he has pitched well.

Lester has taken care of what he can take care of. And has taken care of it very well. That give game difference you mentioned? Those are the five games that Lester started for the Cubs and the Cubs were shutout.

I wish the Cubs win 162 games this season, and then go 11-0 in October-November. Instead, they'll likely go 95-67 and go 12-5 in the playoffs.

He is a winner.

I knew you'd eventually see the value of W/L record.

Team W/L. Never Pitcher W/L, which is still meaningless.

In that case, Jon Lester has never "outdueled" anyone. So make up your fucking mind.

Never though they would get to this many over .500. I picked the Sox over and Cubs under for win totals this year.

I did the opposite , I'll be raking in 1500... I had Sox @ 78-79

Cubs @84-85 .

only if those games were lost due to unearned runs

otherwise, if he took care of all he could take care of, he would have a no decision

Demand more. I promise you the good players do. In fact, Bernstein tried to lead Sale down that path last year and Sale straight out told him that his job is not just to pitch well but to win games.

Jon Lester has, in fact, pitched better than other pitchers and gotten a win for it.

Jon Lester has also, in fact, pitched a great game...even better games than any I just mentioned, and taken a loss.

For his team? Team wins, yeah? Because I don't think he is supposed to care about his stats. #shellfish

If Jon Lester pitches and he gets the win, nice. If Jon Lester pitches and the Cubs get the win, equally nice. I'm a Cubs fan, not a Jon Lester fan.

I'm the biggest Castro supporter in the world, but sit your ass down you're hurting my Cubs.
