This will be a better offense even with the injuries.

No doubt about it.

First of all, how is this even possible that White is hurt? When has there ever been a guy drafted in the first round that wasn't ready to go even on the first day of camp?
Second, this injury has been botched from the beginning by everyone, from the training staff to the coaches. Fox saying that White is day-to-day, knowing he had a stress fracture, was complete B.S. And according to a Sun Times article yesterday that I read, supposedly they told White he had no stress fracture, when now we know he did. And the Bears have waited this long, eleven practices into camp with one pre-season game behind them, to do something about it.

This is a complete cluster-you-know-what. Coaching staff changes, and this is still typical Bears.

holy fucking hell.... 6 games to the whole season? i know that bears WRs have had a tendency to have a redshirt year b4 showing up, but this is a new version of that.

still, we don't know if the guy is actually any good in the NFL so i can't sit here and say i had them at 7-9 wins and now they're 5-7 wins.... there's no guarantees that he's this year's odell beckham jr, and hell for all we know he could pull a justin blackmon and after a few games decide that weed > football. i have no idea what the fuck is going to happen with this team; fortunately only good things can surprise me.... well i suppose unless the bears completely shit the bed and get their first #1 overall draft pick, but that'll never happen anyways. and if it did it'd end up being the weakest #1 pick in the last 20 years or something cuz with the bears you never get anything other than ????! with your first round pick/s.

in theory even if jay cutler has his career year and he makes whatever receivers better/cromulent, as others here have said, none of that matters if the defense is 2013-14 bad. that 2013 team did exceedingly well to go .500ish with that defense..... remember that redskins game where jay got hurt and mccown came in and played near perfectly and they still lost like 48-45 or something? oh ok, it was 45-41.... but you know what i mean. c'est la vie, no?

3-13 at best. They are gonna suck donkey balls.

and like i said b4, no way they go that bad. see the bears are even bad at being bad cuz when they go all out and have a terrible season, they're never bad enough to get a #1 pick, so at worst they're like 4-12/5-11 and drafting 4th-6th or something so that way they can miss on the ~2-3 FOR SURE players and get us a guy who has those necessary ?????s to be a bears first round pick.

is there any clear cut sign when he got injured? they didnt draft an injured player, did they? i take it that he got fucked up in OTAs and they squashed the news just so people would keep on buying season/tickets and jerseys and stuff b4 the news formally broke?

Things aren't really looking up for the new regime. It's pretty obvious the head coach is running the show.

I know it hurts to lose White, but I bet the Bears can find an adequate replacement part. It's the defense that scares me.

The Bears will be very active on the cut list guys. And that was before the White injury. That depth chart is scary.

The Bear are still three deep with starting level talent at WR even with the White injury.

White was going to be a limited route WR this year. He, of all the first round WR, was thought to be the guy who needed the most time to develop. His injury doesn't have a huge impact for THIS year. However, the loss of development time will be a detriment down the road.

Eddie Royal, Alshon Jeffery. Starting level talent? Yes.

Josh Bellamy, Rashad Lawrence, Marquess Wilson, John Chiles, Marc Mariani?

Just because someone starts for the Bears doesn't make them an NFL caliber starter.

Marquess Wilson was pushing for a starting job last year in camp before he got hurt.

First glance? I'd probably say under.

O/U on trips to the DL? 1.5?

Marquess Wilson is definitely a starting level WR. That's the primary reason I don't think White missing time will hurt the Bears.

It's pretty cool the Bears are so good that they could waste a first round pick on a position they already had filled.

Those 19 career receptions have really made an impression on you.

White has superstar potential. At best Wilson is a star. I think Alshon is overrated but there is enough talent there for the offense to be good. Forte is more important than the WR's. If he loses a couple of steps this year the Bears are done.

You can see the talent and Cutler and the coaches have loved him since his rookie season. He was still raw.

Cutler also loved Devin Aromashodu. The coaches you reference have been fired for incompetence.

Regardless of the circumstances of who-knew-what-and-when about the White injury, I just love how the Score hosts are so incredulous about how they can't trust what the GM and coach say at this point. Did they just discover the NFL last Friday?

I would hate to see your secondary reason.

White has game changer potential. Marquess has channel changer potential.

I think better coaching will help

You're wrong about Wilson. Just apologize to me when the season starts.
