Ok what's this guy's deal? Is he sick or did he have a massive head trauma or is he a raging alcoholic or what?

My wife just made me look it up- he was born in 1943! 72 years old, married four or five times, chain smoker (per Giangreco), and working with Cheryl Scott! I'd talk funny, too.

You made your wife look that up rather than open Google yourself? That's awesome.

Tell your wife too google Cheryl Scott for me. If you tell her Beardown asked, she'll do it. Report what she finds.

Does Wife #5 feel special? in anyway...or that there is any money left? and he looks terrible in person

Either. She's a Ron Magers fan from MN. Did not realize he's only 18 months younger than Taft- both born during WWII. But mostly Beardown

Can't they use CGI to do something about his neck? That's discourteous to the viewers.

I haven't watched Ron in a couple of years. He seems to have lost a little off of his fastball.

Jerry sounded drunk off of his ass.

The whole situation with Taft and Scott is kinda funny. It's like the producers over there are like "Hey Jerry, I know you are probably ready to wrap it up sometime soon, so we have this lady here who will kind of take over, but we don't want you to feel like we're pushing you out, but realistically we are. Do you think you could keep it together for a year or two while we do this transition? We really like you, but we really like her future, so ... yeah... if you want to take nights off, just let us know, no big deal. Cheryl will be happy to fill in. But we'll also have to give her spots, like any time there's major weather threatening.... maybe you two can alternating appearing on air? And if you get tired or want to go have a smoke, that's totally cool. We really love you Jerry."

I thought Taft was an air force fighter pilot early in life. Those guys are known for burning through marriages while living the party life. Fighter pilot followed by weather man sounds like a fun life to me.

These two post bring to mind the time I first saw Terrell Brown on the morning news, the first thought that came to my mind was "There's Hosea Sander's replacement." Fast forward a short time later he's anchoring the morning show while Hosea & Linda Yu are doing the "We can't fire these minorities or Jesse Jackson will have a shit fit/We need to find a gig for Cheryl Scott until Jerry croaks" newscast on WCIU.

He was. He flew a ton of combat missions in Viet Nam. And I've been told he used to walk around with a coke spoon on a chain around his neck.

It doesn't hurt to be prepared, but a key will do in a pinch.

Mike Caplan was a troll who used to get a hard-on for bad weather.

More importantly.... did she have a skin tight dress on when she said this?

Not as tight as some, but with a thick vertical stripe on the each side from her waist up through the sides of her tits. She may as well had an arrow in the shape of fake Harry Caray glasses hanging on them.

Can Steve Perez Schill return to town yet or do we still remember his woman abuse like Marriotti? Schill was great. Overweight, not charming, and the oh so witty Schill factor.
