He would do anything to make sure his team was #1. He was a supreme player.

I haven't defended Kane at all in this thread. I have pointed out issues I have with the various pieces of "evidence" that have come out via the press. I've done the same thing for issues I have with posts written here that are from the pro-Kane camp as well, notably one a few pages back where i called out something Beardown wrote that was disparaging towards the accuser.
Well Beardown has been pretty much insane in this thread.

I'll accept you aren't only defending Kane though, but there is a lot of Kane defending going on.

Kane has one Woman accusing him of rape and after 2 weeks there have been no charges and no arrest.

I'm guessing real life is a tad more complex than an episode of Law & Order or C.S.I? I just feel that though. So maybe real life is like those television shows.

you know that song is misidentified a lot as a kent state protest song. it was released 4 years before that incident. it centered around the sunset strip riots.

the more you know...(even though that was info no one really needed in regards to why you were posting the lyrics).

Ohio is about Kent State.

This one is about all of them:

Worth it just to hear Mike Love sing this line:

"The violence spread down South to where Jackson State brothers
Learned not to say nasty things about Southern policemen's mothers"

Kane says "Nothing happened".

Wonder if that means not even intercourse.

I haven't heard a word. As my posting history would suggest, I felt this didn't look good for Kane. But with all the silence, it sure makes one wonder if there is conflicting or not enough evidence.

Christ, if he didn't even have sex with her, you'd think the investigation would be over. The rape kit would show no penetration. Then again, she could have had sex earlier in the day with somebody else.

Or did what that girl did in the movie "Gone Girl" with the wine bottle to prove her rape.

Kane = Roethlisberger

The silence is deafening on this case already.

Still no real news / update.

I'm not familiar with this site but if we don't here of charges either way by the time camp starts, Kane's presence (or lack of) will speak volumes.

Grand Juries are for cowards. Either have the balls to charge him or don't.

Just trade him to Edmonton or Winnipeg and be done with it.

Nope, Winnipeg is a character team. They traded Evander Kane for much less than rape. All he did was hold money up like a cell phone and look like Drake.

Pretty sad that we're probably going to lose a franchise player for nothing. I wish he weren't a rapist.

My official prediction:

The DA in this case has an extremely high conviction rate and has expressed running for interest in running for office. Kane won't be charged in Buffalo unless this is a slam dunk. The fact that her friend is being called in front of a Grand Jury means that the DA doesn't think there's enough convictable evidence at this point and they are running out of ideas. Kane will never be charged for anything and this case will relatively quietly go away. The Hawks will position this as we are happy he's innocent, but clearly he has a problem with alcohol. Maybe suspend him for a month or so while he goes to rehab and it's your classic sports redemption story when he's lifting the cup in June 2016.

Not enough here to win a Cup. They're playing for fifth place this year, especially if the rapist is gone for a significant period.

You're not starting that again? I was skeptical all last year, but I have found religion. I am not doubting this team.

This team is a deep up the middle as they've been since the first cup. A few very high upside forwards in Panarin and Dano.

Defensively..let's say Keith better win the Norris for them to be in contention.

Our center depth is as good as Toews-Sharp-Bolland-Madden-Fraser-Kopecky now? Anisimov is the best #2 center in years, but I have trouble believing Teuvo or Dano will last at center because we've learned that non-Kruger prospects never do. Speaking of Kruger, I think he's still in limbo, which isn't good.
