Blackstone is a terrific layout.

My round at Pine Meadow got cancelled. Still may head down there to practice. Playing Sunday late morning at my home course.
Hoping the three week layoff works in my favor but it doesn't often work out that way.

Gonna play Chalet Hills this afternoon, $27 on golfnow. Trying to extend my streak of 57 straight holes without losing a ball.

I played there late last year. I'd like another shot at it in decent weather. Tough little layout.

Wish I could. Good luck. Going to pick up the clubs tomorrow morning for the first time in 3 weeks. Rain or shine I need to practice.

Raining too hard to practice Saturday. I got over an inch Saturday morning alone. Got out yesterday and hit the ball surprisingly well
after the layoff. I double bogeyed #4 after not taking enough sand in a greenside bunker and air mailing the green ( been doing that
a lot this season ) and then doubled the next hole after hitting one out of bounds off the tee. After that I played one over the rest of
the day for a 77. Zero three putts. Two birdies and two missed birdies within 10 feet. Looking forward to playing next weekend.
Headed to Steeple Chase Saturday morning. Haven't played there for 4 years and was my home course in college. Should be fun.

Chalet Hills is a pretty ridiculous course in parts. Some of those holes are the narrowist I've ever seen. #5 and #14 were ridiculous. #4 was ridiculous too because of the massive tree overhanging the green, making the only playable shot a draw over bunkers to a sliver of the green. I played well though, shot a 82 on the par 73 track. Doubt I'll ever go back, it's an hour drive because of the lack of highway driving. For an hour I can go to Blackstone instead, a much better track.

Tried playing Springbrook Saturday and 5 hours and 4 lightning delays later I had managed to play 11 holes in the rain before calling it quits.

Yesterday played George Dunne. Highlight was that they have Golfboards available to rent! Only $20 on top of your round. The course itself is in terrible shape, never seen it in such bad shape. Greens were slow and bumpy, fairways torn up, fringe over grown in patches. Shot an 84, with a triple. Very happy since I shot a 89 out there a few weeks ago.

Here is a pic of what a golf board is. I watched them yesterday and they look like a blast, similar to a segway meets snowboard.

That list seems fishy to say the least. I doubt Edgebrook has them since they barely have a lawn mower. I play there quite a bit since its the only 18 hole course close to my house and I haven't seen any golfboards. Same goes for INdian Boundry, Chick Evans and Billy Caldwell in terms of being cheap courses on shoe string budgets.

I did see Footgolf at Edgebrook though.

Must have a contract with the Forest Preserve courses and only a handful of them. Just got the list off the website and I am sure they want to make it seem like they
are everywhere. I did watch the promotional video and not sure why these aren't catching on much more quickly. Must be cost prohibitive but if you can get $20 a
person that is more than you would get for two people in one cart. I'd love to try it once to see what it is like. Great option for those who have to ride and I would
agree with them that play would likely speed up, although I could see people getting hurt with these as well ( elderly, and young people who likely have been drinking
and/or goofing around ).

I was talking to one kid working at George Dunne and he said he really liked that it kept him standing the entire round of golf as opposed to getting in and out of a cart. With my bad back, that would be a huge bonus for me as I sometimes feel like my back hurts from the cart more than from taking swings.

My ex-girlfriend's mother carded her sixth lifetime hole-in-one yesterday at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. Any of you guys ever score a hole-in-one? How about more than one?

I made one when I was about 8 or 9 and another one in 2008. I've holed out from the fairway from over 100 yards 4 or 5 times but not since 2013. Six holes in one
is pretty impressive.

She's a pretty good player and she's got to be pushing 70. She was really strong when she was younger. She probably could have been a decent tour player. Her parents owned a golf course in Chippewa Falls and she grew up playing all the time.

LOL, me too! June 24, 1984. A week away from turning 15 so I guess I was a older 14 year old. 181 yard par 3 at Deerfield, tees were up to about 140. 6 iron. Orange Top-Flite X-out ball, looks great in the trophy case.

I know it was with a 9 iron and a Top Flite golf ball, the trophy with the golf ball is still at my moms house.

I have come within about a foot four or five different times, but never had an ace. I did hole out for par from about a 110 yard drop zone after putting one in the water off the tee in 2010.

I looked at the trophy last night and I was off by a year which makes sense since I wouldnt have been 14 in June of 1984 since my bday is 7/3. So mine was 6/24/85, about 8 months before Hawg got one.

Pretty sure my first was summer of 85 as well shakes. I still have the ball and wrote a letter to the company hoping they would send me something but alas I got nothing. It was a
RENEGADE branded ball which I believe was an off branded Spaulding. I'll try to look when I am home for lunch.

Playing Steeple Chase Saturday morning and then my home course Monday morning, possibly 27 that day depending on weather and how busy it is.
