Cowley in again with Goff and as much as I HATE Cowley, he's not bad on the air...this has been a decent show so far...

It really has been a pretty good show today. Florio is always good and Cowley has contributed some pretty good stuff.

Cowley can be prickly at times for sure, however, I think his comments about the Sox way of doing things was spot on. Regardless of his feelings towards Kenny Williams and vice versa, Cowley gave a pretty good synopsis about the problems with the entire organization - IMO.

As a lifelong White Sox fan I have always enjoyed Joe's willingness to be honest with his opinion that, despite what the rest of the local media report, the Sox are not the model franchise they tell you that they are. I've gone from being a Cub hater to person envious of what they're doing on the Northside. I know Cowley covers the Bulls now but, I hope he continues to get a platform on WSCR to blast away at all the bullshit that Kenny Williams has been slinging.

I think the midday show has generally been better when there is a guest co-host (Rozner, Cowley, Arkush, etc.) with Goff or Spiegel. In my opinion, Goff & Spiegel are not a great radio pairing.

I had it on today for about an hour at work and yes it was actually listenable in the sense that I did not hear any console slapping or gratuitous giggling. I did hear the word "dude" used several times. Once in a calendar month is enough but three times in an hour? Pete Fewteck was on and that guy is a babbling brook. He seems to come from the Goff school of breathless and convoluted verbal discharge. Goff had to throw race into the discussion when he insinuated that Charlie Strong would be shitcanned at Texas because he is black if he doesn't win 8 or 9 games this year. Really? In the second year of a gigantic rebuilding project? Fucking dipshit.
