Great player, poor analyst.

Everything is viewed through the "back in my day" lens with Hampton. He's not the only one, but he's one of the more vocal ones out there.

Hamp can't, ya know, talk. Which is a bit of an issue for talk radio.

That was the fun fact on the back of Hamp's 1983 Topps football card. I think.

Having he and Waddle on the same show is impolite to listeners. I'm listening to "Waddle's World" right now and he has such a difficult time speaking it's painful. Mike Adamle must hear that and think "Shit...as long as Waddle has a job, I'm safe."

I've mentioned it before -- as someone with a legitimate speech impediment I can't believe that people who speak so poorly are able to get and keep jobs on the radio in a major market like Chicago.
