Ruben Amaro out in Philadelphia.

I'm pretty sure he's not Polish.

But he's no good at what he does.

Then again, Rick Adelman coached forever and Eric Mangini will probably get a third shot to fail.

With the Cub, I believe the word always was McFail loved the title of president but didn't want to actually do anything. In Baltimore, the O's got much better the minute he left and Showalter had more say in the way things were done.

But hey, someday he just might get that Commissioner's gig he's always wanted.

McPhail set Baltimore up. He traded for Adam Jones, Chris Davis and JJ Hardy. He also drafted Manny Machado and Dylan Bundy.

Then why was he shown the door?

The Brewers hired David Stearns to be their new GM. The 30 year old Harvard grad was the Assistant GM for the Houston Astros.

The Mariners hired Jerry Dipoto as their General Manager.

Good move by the M's. Funny he ended up in the same division as the Angels. That could be a spirited rivalry for the next few years but it means he probably won't be able to trade for Tyler Skaggs for the third time.
