Heath bars are terrible. It's really not candy, they are actually made from old British dress shoes.

"DQ"is different than "Dairy Queen". Same corporate parent, but almost totally different places.

"DQ" (Grill/Chill) has a complete fast food menu, more selection than a typical McDonalds for sure. Plus they have most of the Dairy Queen ice cream products.
"Dairy Queen" just has the ice cream stuff.
(Growing up in Rockford has taught me well)

I love Dairy Queen blizzards. WAY better than similar stuff from Culver's, Coldstone, McDonalds, etc.

"Old British dress shoes"

Everybody knows that Resse's Cups and possibly Butterfingers are the best types of Blizzards. There are other good options, but come on....those are the best.

Replace butterfinger with chocolate chip cookie dough and we are talking.

I get the pretty pedestrian Reese's blizzard when I go. However, I get it with the chocolate DQ ice cream.

I don't eat chocolate, so my go-to blizzard is always the Strawberry Cheesequake. Delicious. Wish they would bring back the Golden Oreo blizzard.

I've had DQ a few times in recent years, since Warren Buffett bought the chain and upgraded it.

The most recent time, you ordered your food and and then took your drink cup and sat down. The teenager who took your order walked your basket of food out to you once it was ready.

Had some sort of grilled chicken sandwich. Surprisingly tasty. And the side of fries was small enough to finish. Only like $6, including self-serve fountain beverage.

I just grabbed a bag of what I *thought* was cheesy popcorn. Turns out it was baked corn "pops." What a bitter disappointment that was. Fuck you Vitner's.

An article below shows the apparent 'tops' in sodium content per item ... the winner? Jersey Mike's Subs' "Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak" - at a staggering 7,795 mg. For comparison's sake, the FDA's RDA for sodium is 2,300 mg. At that point, why not just buy a salt lick to keep by the Lay-Z-Boy?

Another bit of trivia - the first Dairy Queen ever opened in Joliet.
