- completely new coaching staff which had been preparing for this game specifically for a long time.

- the new coaching staff and this team have zero regular season fil available to gameplan against.

- the Packers clearly don't respect the Bears

- Packers made some uncharacteristically bad penalties in the first half that kept it close

... and despite all that, they still lost by one touchdown, at home, including a gimme at the end.

I also think we will find out in the coming weeks that Green Bay isn't that good and their defense is particularly bad. The fact that the Bears moved the ball well was a combination of execution and bad defense. Sam Shields was awful.

Sam Shields looked bad, but was asked to do way more than he usually is. It was surprising how bad Green Bay's run defense was considering how much they played for it and how little help they gave their corners. Edit: Green Bay's defense isnt that good, but I think youll be pretty disappointed if you believe Green Bay isn't going to be very good.

As long as Rodgers is their QB, they'll always be "good." But their defense isn't that good, and a lack of Jordy Nelson will hurt when they are playing teams not named the Bears.

You can be one dimensional with Nelson healthy. But this run defense...

They arent as one dimensional on offense though. Lacy is a really good back and has no problem carrying it 20 times if need be. Their defense will suck but their defense always sucks and they still have done extremely well in the regular season. That should continue this year.

Relax, dude. It's week 1. No, just like I didn't say it was a lock that New England wins the Super Bowl even though currently they probably have the best case to make for best team.
