before the last meaningless TD drive, Cutler's QB rating was 54.

Literally never.

OK were making progress here. Elite to me means a team that's great on all three phases... not just the best team in the league or conference.

there hasn't been an elite team that's won the super bowl in a long time then. weird way to look at it but ok...have fun.

Shouldn't elite mean more than the top 10 teams in the league each year?

Bears need a short yardage back so you don't have to pass 6 straight times inside the 10.

Take it easy Hatchetman. Cutler played really ok.
It was a coverage interception. Matthews came from the other side unexpectedly. Not really Cutler's fault.
True, heartbreaking loss. But there is something to look forward to here. Rematch will be a good one.

You seem to have trouble evaluating QB's. Cutler had a rough day today..50% completion rate and a 67.5 QB rating, 1TD, 1 Int, not to mention the numerous overthrows on deep balls. Jay sucked today.

Maybe you need new glasses?
Bears third down efficiency: 11/16 - 64%
Fourth down efficiency: 2/3 - 66%
The problem was not sustaining drives today, but goal-line execution.

I can read stats and Jays were awful. 67.5 QB rating is fucking terrible.

I disagree. There were some positives in todays game. Its been a long time since we have seen the Bears appear organized and coordinated. Plays were called and in on time and players were in the right place with little confusion. Also nice to see varied snap counts, the no huddle and Jay moving in the pocket and rolling out, and they even called a zone read like QB keeper for Jay.

Todays game was winnable but for some reason Fox turned into Trestmann in the 2nd 1/2.

Agreed. They lost but looked a bit more NFL'ish while doing so.

Spoiler alert: Jared Allen still sucks.

isn't the point of having 4 linebackers so that one of them can blitz? did they do that? or did but just never made it past the line of scrimmage.

Both times I saw them blitz, Rodgers ran for a first down.

yeah you are right. It is just not fair having Aaron Rodgers. Watching him play against the Bears I don't see how the Packers ever lose.

The lazy fans that I know will put the blame 100% on him. They have for years.

Clearly, like usual, there are many bigger problems on this team.

If the Pack didn't have a guy that was cut by Oakland and NYG in the last 6 months, they lose this game.
He bailed Rodgers out many times.

When you have a below average QB, you need to be pretty good everywhere else to be competitive. It's not that Cutler is the worst player on the team, it's that because of how important the position is, he hurts them more than any one other player. It makes sense that Bear fans want him gone.

He was one of the biggest problems. His timely turnovers don't help. When you make $18M you should try to earn it. He's 1-13 against the Packers with like 5 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.

I can easily say the opposite.

If the Bears have the best QB in the league (Rodgers), then you can easily have below average other parts of your team.
This isn't rocket science.

I know the numbers I posted seem odd and they're probably not accurate but if you look up the stats I'm confident that they aren't that far off.
