Governor Steve Beshear explained. "The General Assembly will convene in four months and can make any statutory changes it deems necessary at that time. I see no need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayers’ money calling a special session of the General Assembly when 117 of 120 county clerks are doing their jobs."

Let go...impeach...force her to resign. Something will happen.

That is the maximum a governor can throw her under the bus. He wants her gone...I'm sure he has pull.

Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who infamously refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses, could be heading back to jail.

According to the Associated Press, she did the one thing a federal judge ordered her not to do: Interfere with the licenses being issued.

According to the report, Davis altered the marriage licenses issued by deputy clerks by taking her name and the county name off of them, thus rendering the licenses invalid. Kentucky state law requires marriage licenses to be issued by the county clerk.

Wording on the license issued Monday was altered to remove any mention of Davis or her office. Instead, a section of the license now states that it was issued pursuant to a federal court order rather than the county clerk.

You must have missed this earlier in the thread.

Maybe you missed this part. She's trying to make the blind followers believe this is OK. Obviously it worked...

I didn't miss that either.

They can still argue that they are invalid even WITH her name on it.

Let's focus here.

It's never been about me.

Stick with what you had here.

I can successfully juggle many salient points.

Seacrest is about to have a bad week if it turns out that she was still violating the law and didn't "get what she wanted". Then again, the whole idea that she could write "separate but equal" marriage licenses is probably worse than giving none of them at all. It's pretty clear she just hates gay people.

His hero may be going to jail again!

The only thing that's clear here Brick is that you have been arguing about her following the law, when you didn't see the ramifications if she was forced to do just that.

Better to be educated later on, than never to be educated at all.

So you admit she is breaking the law?

Progress!
