Is BigStar any good? I think one of the other places was Lillies q. And I'm pretty excited about the lobster roll.

Big Star is fantastic. Great tacos, really good craft cocktails.
Not sure what they will be offering at UC. I'm guessing the prices are gonna be a lot higher at the UC, which would probably take away from the enjoyment.
Just go to Big Star instead. Kids can go, sit on the patio before the weather turns bad. The Al Pastor taco is their best, IMO, but lots of their tacos are good.

If anybody can find me the recipe for the pretzel dip in the UC suites, I'll give them a dollar.

I love that stuff.

I'd give somebody a dollar to convince the UC to change the plastic cup they serve their beer in.
It's tastes nasty. It smells just as bad. I've never had a plastic draft cup that tastes like that anywhere else.

Critics have been known to go over the top in their praise, but "September Gurls" and "The Ballad of El Goodo" are 10/10 for sure.

Worst stadium food by a far margin. Absolute garbage at the UC.

Big Star is fine when you are at Big Star, to eat those mini overpriced tacos...but they have no place at the UC....I am all for the local places doing food , if it works. Example, Hot Dougs. its sausage, you can even pre cook them and them toss them on the grill....

Big Star is a Scene in Bucktown/Wicker Park. Nothing wrong with the food, but it isnt great....its an old service station that is a pretentious place that tries to claim it is laid back...lol

I am sure BS will make money and they put about .5 oz of meat into the tacos they serve and charge like $3 each and people will search them out....but no big deal.

"Oh my god, I love Big Star" heard it too many times.....if you really love BIG STAR, you should think La Pasadita is heaven, if we are talkign about the quality of the item served.

I'm not as enthusiastic about Big Star as Spanky is, but I agree that their food is generally good, if way overpriced. People think it's better than it is because it is in the "right" neighborhood and attracts a lot of bearded, tatooed hipsters.

Lillie's Q is just another overhyped yuppie BBQ restaurant. If you like smoke-free barbecue, this place is for you. Also benefits from being in the "right" neighborhood.

Big Star is owned by a developer who tried to develop the site, got turned down on zoning and opened a taco place. It has the Austin vibe going....serves SMALL food

Of course part of of Big Star's appeal is the atmosphere.
It is pretty laid back, especially if you can get a seat the bar. I never feel uptight there. :D

You're probably right compared to other stadiums, but I think the brisket sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich at Sweet Baby Rays is pretty good. With Lillie Q's coming in, does that mean Rays is out?

Biggie, you gotta try mine and Furious' favorite taco place,

http://www.yelp.com/biz/taqueria-san-juanito-chicago

Place is fantastic! Best al pastor tacos I've had in Chicago. Everything else there is great too. Seems like everyone there gets the shrimp soup so my wife tried it a few weeks ago, its basically an amazing mexican version of chiopino (sp). She's gotten it every time since. We go there at least once a week. On weekends they have a little lady hand making tortilas in the corner (although be advised that those homemade ones go with the soup and other meals, the tacos get the store bought tortillas for some reason.

We are always the only white people in there which is how you know its authentic.

Cowboys "Stadium," wherever the Cowboys play. I literally dumped my beer after two sips. I got a new one and quickly got a refund. realized it was the cup and not the beer.

Most cartons of plastic cups in any large venue are usually stored in rooms with many other products... napkins, soap, cleaning supplies, etc.

You would think that after so long some of those chemicals could be absorbed by porous disposable napkins, cups, plastic ware.

Many of those storerooms are not climate controlled so when it's 90 degrees outside you can imagine how miserable it is in that room.

Also, every facility strives to use older stock first. You may be drinking from a cup that was stored for over 5 years in some cases.
