They tampered with it and put in DNA samples of 2 unknown people. Then they leaked this info with the info of "No Kane DNA found".

yeah, an off-duty cop drove Kaner and the girls back to Kane's house on the night in question. Wonder if he also drove the alleged victim to the hospital that night

So either Patrick Kane is a criminal mastermind the likes of which we haven't seen since Tonya Harding and Jeff Gilooly, or this lawyer is a buffoon on par with Mike Nifong.

if that's so, given the level of competency shown by Kane's legal team to date, be interesting if they gakked some DNA from some other perps out of wherever the police keep DNA evidence and it turns out the owners of those other DNA profiles have been cooling their heels in prison for the last year or more.

I dont see how the lawyer is a buffoon no matter what happens. If its true, he has to come forward, if he concocted it then he's the most committed lawyer this side of Denny Crane

You can get away with a lot when you have an entire police department at your disposal. I guess we can rule out that the accuser is black because she surely would've been gunned down by one of Kane's henchm…err cops on his payroll.

If what Dicaro says is true and you can have DNA thrown away if it doesn't help your case then what do you do to make it happen? You tamper with it. Then you have it dropped off at the Mom's house by an "anonymous" person but you urge them to come forward (which you don't really want them to do). You know that the public knows that Kane has cop friends and that you might get the public back on your side with this manipulation tactic.

Based on the timing of this revelation, this absolutely smells of a desperate lawyer trying to muddy everything up and drive Kane back to the bargaining table.

Is there a phone number to the FBI they could call rather than the press conference. Nothing like tipping them off if there is something going on.

Was the accuser insinuating Kaner was insider her and the tampering removed her. Or nothing in the kit could be tampered with. For that to be inadmissible is a loss for Kane at a trail. Its not like they would tell the jury Kane DNA was gooed up inside her, but you can't see due to police incompetence.

Her lawyer is a long time prominent attorney that's a multi millionaire. He has no motive to do anything corrupt? For what?

Yeah, I don't see if the Buffalo police were in on some kind of conspiracy to take the heat off Kane, why would they then subsequently deliver the empty "rape kit evidence bag" to the alleged victim's mother's house? Wouldn't that kind of, I don't know, blow their conspiracy cover?
