Can confirm @JayGlazer report Jared Allen has been dealt to Panthers. Bears in essence gave him $11M to leave for possible late-round pick..

Trading for the dead guy was probably the worst move.

Oh, boy. Life as a Bears fan. Almost as fun as being a Sox fan.

Good point. Hard to tell the difference.

Once again, Bears beat guys breaking the stories.

Trading for Gaines Adams wasn't the problem. Trading a 2ND ROUND PICK for him absolutely was. Then to have him die was just incredible. Such a Bears moment.

Trading Jared Allen for anything really is a win. He's been utterly useless in a Bears uniform and whatever he was gonna do in football, he's done it, much less in the 3-4.

The moth 69, wasnt in the locker room after the game, sounds like he forced the trade or asked for it.

Allen can be seen jaking it on a number of replays. A guy blows by him and he just stops pursuing. I'm glad to see a pulse from this Bears regime. In the past,Allen would just sit on that roster.

DiCaro really stumbled over the update...."Jay Glazer is reporting the Bears have traded Jared Allen for a conditional draft round in exchange for Brad Biggs."

This was Emery's Milton Bradley!

The guy is not signed by anyone, and you give him a 2 year guarantee! for Big money!

Wasnt it like a week before camp...and he was sick for the like the first 4 games, plus he lost 20 pounds during that time???

Like we would ever hear that again. Unlike Schuster, Rongey, whoever else, there's no way they would replay one of hers to poke fun. We have to stop update-shaming women.

Ehh..Allen strikes me as an ancillary piece...not someone you sign to elevate you to the next level. Though I backed it at the time, I think the worst signing in recent memory is the re-signing of Cutler.

Allen wasn't even the worst signing of that offseason. Lamarr. Houston.

I'd feel better about it if he was actually blocking the path of someone else's career.

Trading for the dead guy was probably the worst move.

That 2nd round pick would have sucked anyway.

i always loved that the pick ended up being used on gronkowski. that's the perfect ending to all of this,
