Why is Kyle Long playing RT with a bad thumb? He did not do well last Sunday, because he can't grab onto anything with his right hand. Doesn't matter how good the rest of his technique is.
I played DT in college with a broken finger and it was the worst. I can only imagine the pain Long is going through to play through his injury for a bad football team.
Just another brain-dead move by the present regime. Long might be the best lineman we have, but not to play RT when he's hurt.
Good point. I think the bigger question is why the Bears only provide one mouth guard per player. What if one malfunctions during a game and/or is destroyed? How will the players play with confidence if they can't replace a destroyed mouth guard? And they say the Bears aren't a cheapskate organization...
