Best Bears news in a loooooooooong time.

Forte can be next. I'll take a 5th rounder for him, minimum.

You should be able to at least get a 3rd. He still has something in the tank.

Marion Barber says hello

Solid trade. I didn't hate the signing when the Bears made it knowing they weren't going to pay prime type money to Peppers. They did wind up overpaying for what they got out of Allen tho fo sho

It's funny. My good friend who is a sports writer used to argue that Peppers was better than Allen the year we signed Peppers. I told him he was nuts. I was right that year. Allen was D MVP. My, how times change.

Yeah, he hasn't aged as well as Peppers.

Allen also had the fat Williams twins that year didn't he? I'd say that Peppers is the type of player that can be good with no one around him while Allen could be MVP level with help around him.

BTW, Peppers was MVP worthy that year too imo, so that argument is still valid on your friends end lol

He ends his Chicago career with 5.5 sacks in 18 games and that's tied for 51st all time in Bears history with Tyrone Keys and Michael Haynes.
