Agreed, and Julie's job (less so as an 'anchor' but as someone who writes a column and needs to consume sports news) does require Twitter.

That said, it doesn't require jerking around with the scum who come at her. It sucks that such people exist (and yes, it is a different abuse for women in sports) and if she wants to campaign against it then...well that doesn't sound like much of a fun job.

People say mean and disgusting shit on the Internet to each other all the time. I think her attempt to make it a feminist issue may be misguided. I think that's why she's refusing to do the simple thing and block these asswipes though. Those tweets are helping her martial a Social Justice Army.
