man, i think arrieta probably should get the cy young but idk if he's done enough to out-do greinke, who i believe has WAR and the stats like that on his side. the 2nd half pitching record might only be the greatest thing we've seen since kris medlen's 2nd half of 2012, but still given what arrieta's done for a cubs team with a better record than the dodgers out of pretty much nowhere, especially locking it down in the 2nd half to being basically unhittable, yeah, i actually want "the best pitcher in baseball" to get it.

plus nobody will factor in the human factor where writers might think dodgers fans have so many cy youngs (by default) with kershaw that you toss the cubs fans a bone cuz idk if arrieta can continue to be this dominant going forward and this might be his one year to get it, esp if kershaw isnt 4.20/1.24 in mid-late may like he was this year.
