I'll grant you the window of opportunity during the playoffs and maybe opening night.

You've been paying attention to something happening on their opening night for the last month....

Go back to the Cubs section and stay out of Blackhawks business.

You know what would make me happy? Banning 99% of pre-recorded music from hockey games. Organ or nothin'. Keep "Chelsea Dagger" after goals, but I never need to hear that stupid Dropkick Murphys song ever again in my life. Shouldn't be playing a song about Boston anyway.

Step 2: get an organist who is able/willing to play more than "Eye of the Tiger," the Rocky theme, and generic stadium riffs.

Same here. I'm getting more optimistic about the Hawks -- which is to say they won't necessarily finish fifth in the division. The more I look at the Jets, the more I'm down on them, but then that's the basis of all my hockey pessimism: the closer I look at a team, the more faults I find, which is why I get so angsty about the Blackhawks while I wildly praise the Ducks, a team I see fuck-all of during the season.

I think we'll get over the loss of Sharp. It's Saad I'm worried about replacing. He's so good.

I like Saad, but question what he will be without the great players around him. I llked him and wish him well.

It's going to hurt not seeing sharp but maybe he can find magic in a different city. He was so beautiful but time to move on.

Maybe because I'm a newer fan and they've been good but I just love it and look forward to the season. We have a countdown going.

Ryan Johansen (71) and Nick Foligno (73) outscored Toews (66) and Hossa (61) last year.

I think Sharp will have a better scoring year in Dallas than he would have had here. He'll respond well to playing in a top six with Spezza, Benn, and Seguin in it, and Lindy Ruff probably won't give a shit if he floats like a bar of soap on defense, so look for him to score a lot but also get scored on a lot, maybe more, depending on how bad Niemi and Lettin' In are. And get ready for some WACKY ZANY JUMBOTRON ANTICS when the Hawks visit!

I agree on the bad pre recorded music.

I disagree on Frank. He's a legend!

Pellico is the reason the Barton console didn't get transferred to the United Center. He wanted new toys, so he lied to Wirtz about being unable to sample and synthesize the old organ. The only thing legendary about him is that he persuaded Bill Wirtz to make an unnecessary expenditure.

Saad is just a middle of the road guy with Columbus. Artem will score more goals than Brandon this year.

Oh, come on, don't give him the Boston goodbye. He's the second-best player in his draft class behind Landeskog, and he didn't get there as a passenger. Dano has a high ceiling (he, not Anisimov, is the comparable player), and I'm really eager to see what he can bring, but Brandon Saad is not a fungible player. It sucked the way he left town, but he's a legitimate first-line power forward, those are rare, and I'll miss his play.

Love Saad, but not sure about that statement. You think he's better than RNH? What about Brodin?

Geez, looking at that draft that has to be one of the worst in recent memory.

I'll take Saad over Brodin by a hair. RNH could still soar to the top of the class, can't knock the scoring touch, it's just been hard to get a read on his full abilities with the years he's spent getting lit up on horrific Oilers teams. I guess Palat would have to be right up there.

Yeah, the 2011 class is kinda not good. Fuck Landeskog, hate that guy.
