But hey, if you truly believe that saying "no trial" means "will be charged with the crime but will somehow avoid it going to a judge/jury" even after I made it clear that he will not be charged with a crime then I can't help you.

I'm sure you and shakes had a good time on the golf course but you don't need to defend him against something that he doesn't even seem to care about any more. I'd just recommend being less condescending going forward. Then you wouldn't be having to grasp for straws like this.
