Scott Skiles might b a great coach, but it's time to get drastic very very soon. If you get to the 20 game smark and have 4 or less wins, sorry Scottie, you gotta go and Big Ben can sit down too, nxt to Capt. Kirk.

I watch these games and wonder why is Skiles doing the same thing game after gtame. Just leave Kirk out there to shoot, sit Thomas, like it is his fault and never play Gray or Noah.

Nothing pisses me off more than watching a coach in any sport just die on the vine, playing veterans because he thinks they are better players than th guys sitting on the bench. Especially when the guys playing, are playing just like you would think the guys on the bench would play.

Start

DUHON, GORDON, WALLACE, NOAH, THOMAS, Bring in Gray, Thomas and Kirk

I don;t care what we do anymore, just do something to take a look

Its not that simple. Who do you bring in then to get them over the hump?

Im dissapointed in the Bulls and Skiles particularly, but Im not sure any coach in the league right now would have them at 7-3 instead of 2-8, and I definitely dont see that guy out there(Yes I know Larry Brown is available) without a head gig right now.

Some radio show went over it, but the NBA is full of A->B coaches (Doug Collins) and hardly any B->C coaches (Phil Jackson), so you can fire Skiles and all, but you'll find yourself in the same situation soon enough. Drinky and Goff also made a decent point that in maybe 90% of the games the Bulls play this year they won't have the best player on the court. It seems we have an A->B GM as well.

This team is in total disarray, but I'm not going to call for anyone's firing.

While I'm undecided about Skiles, I'm absolutely certain the Bulls lack the talent to contend for a title. It's arguable that two of their three best players--Hinrich and Gordon--would be best suited to come off the bench. Both players are tweeners who lack a real position. And while their best all-around player, Deng, is well suited to play the small forward, he will never be an elite (top 10) player. He probably won't ever even scratch the top 20. Finally, their most physically gifted player, Thomas, entered the league with a very low skill level and may never develop the work ethic necessary to live up to his potential. The Bulls are screwed.

I hate this A-B and B-C theory everybody uses. People use this shit theory because they remember Collins being fired for Jackson and the Bulls going on to win titles. So stupid people figure, well the same thing will happen if you fire Skiles. They project him as a Doug Collins.

I've said this before, Collins would have won those first 3 titles. Everybody forgets, Phil Jackson lost to the Pistons his first year as Bulls coach. Everybody thinks they won that first title in Phil's rookie year.

It was just a matter of time for Jordan to start winning. Phil just happen to be the coach.

I don't think Skiles is the problem. He's a good coach. Nobody would have gotton more wins out of the Bulls the last 3 years. Nobody.

The Bulls can't win a title with this team. No coach can.

Bingo. I find the idea that this is Skiles' fault amusing. If anything, he worked miracles to get this team to the playoffs the last several years. It's not Skiles that can't hit a fucking jump shot.

I have a feeling Paxson's mancrush on very mediocre Hinrich may have something to do with Skiles' decisions.

Think they have trouble scoring now? 4 guys in the starting line-up who can't shoot - yikes!

That said, I'm not sure what the deal with this teams is. I'm not a huge fan, but starting Duhon might be a good idea given Hinrich's poor ball-handling & decision-making this year. I would like to see Gordon coming off the bench like he did his 1st 1-1/2 yrs. He & Nocioni just seem like perfect 6th men. Thomas & Noah probably should be energy guys off the bench as well until they show some consistency. Sefolosha needs to be buried deep on the bench for a while...what happened to him? As for Gray - he looked good in a couple of pre-season games but obviously he hasn't shown much in practice or he would be playing. I really don't think Skiles is refusing to play him due to stubborness or an inability to recognize his talent. A 7-footer doesn't last until the 2nd round if he has the skills to succeed as a rookie.

Paxson should be the one feeling the heat. As Old Man Potter would say, "confound it man, are you afraid of success?"

There is no heat on Pax. Jerry likes him and will not fire him.

If you look at Jerry's tenure he sticks with his GM's

Larry Himes was a quick fire but...

Roland Heymond was Jerry's first guy. He retired on his own and is still in the Sox organization.

Ron Shueler lasted 9 years and retired on his own after a 2000 division title.

Jerry Krause was here for 17 years.

Kenny Williams is in year 8.

I know Hawk was only one year but I think Hawk quit. Jerry eventually hired him back to do games.

Reinsdorf sticks with his GM's.
