I knew the Cardinals had lost as soon as the fireworks started last night. WTF? It was the NLDS.

God forbid you actually win a World Series. There might be nuclear bombs going off at that point.

Eh. Baseball celebrations are so few and far between in this city. I agree the fireworks is a bit much, but I hear them every time the Hawks win a series too. That is even worse because the Hawks have won like 29 playoff series over the last 6-8 years.

Don't worry I am sure the trash that live behind me will set off fireworks again when the Cubs lose a series like he did in 08.

where do people get fireworks in October ?

are there year-round fireworks stores ? I thought it was basically a seasonal type thing like when all the Halloween costume stores pop up in old Blockbuster locations

Fireworks were set off around here too. I figured either the Cubs won or Team Mexico scored a goal.

You are priceless Juiced.

Did you miss the part about Cubs fans being the folks with the fireworks?

There were fireworks after the Wild Card win also, by me.

Anyway, jealousy is very unbecoming.

Humans are herd animals so they'll do that shit of over dopes are doing it.

Honestly, I'm more disappointed in the Cubs themselves. I type this as a guy who grew up 8 blocks west of Wrigley and have been to too many games to count over the last 35 years.

That said, did winning a NLDS series (still 8 wins away from a WS Pennant) really warrant an hour plus celebration by the players on the field with printed T Shirts and Hats, cigars, selfies, jumping on top of the dugout with the fans? Seemed a bit excessive. That's the shit you do when you win the Division pennant, win the NLCS to get in to the WS or win the WS itself.

Shwarbers HR on top of scoreboard! Wrigley will only allow maintenance to work on scoreboard if they are accompanied by security to avoid theft.
