didn't ESPN pull out of something with draftkings? like they're gonna stop doing in-program segments about draftkings lineups and all that?

i remember during the cubs game we kept getting live shots of this packed bar at "the draftkings fantasy hub chicago" or something and it was like "holy shit wtf they have a bar too? where did this come from?"

ah well, if people hadn't realized that they had all this $$$$ to sponsor everything and its mom and have commercials everywhere and now they're opening up theme bars (that you figure have to have some sort of terminals/machines where people can insert a credit card and bust out a lineup right there) and yet all of their commercials make it seem like they're just giving away tons of money all willy nilly like HEY IT'S FREE TO JOIN AND YOU CAN WALK AWAY WITH THOUSANDS TO MILLIONS, YOU KNOW, THAT LIFE-CHANGING PAYDAY(TM) well then i guess they're idiots.

...and of course being so ubiquitous and everywhere you know uncle sam is gonna want his cut cuz you can't go around making money like they evidently are and not giving the powers that be their cut. not to mention that i'm sure every not-legal-everywhere gambling lobby is like "wtf" and definitely waist high in player hating schemes!

A draftkings employee basically took the info and won some money on Fanduel. I think it was $380K.

Technically, no law has been broken except DK's felt the need to change their own rules and do an internal audit.

Please send out a lengthy email today. I assume everyone that plays got the email.

I only say the days are numbered because they are a byproduct of a law, they didnt fight for this right to gamble like this....and thus they have no political backing. Maybe Adam Silver or ESPN steers them in the right direction, but they are in for a huge legal battle is my guess.

The problem in the political world is that you cant start donated to the politician when you need them, you had better been in the pocket way before the problems start.

WSEX sounds like it'd have potential to be one of the lamest college radio stations ever.

The ever-changing 92.7 in Arlington Heights had a run as WSEX in the mid-'80s. Strangely enough, they didn't play up the callsign as much as one would think they would. Their format was to play only songs that made the top 10 for a given year, sort of a broad-but-shallow adult contemporary, I guess. Then it flipped to AAA as WCBR, The Bear.

Catchy little jingle! Sounds like they made it with a Casio.

Also, WSEX News with Paul Patch, by cracky!

Dear DABIGFAN,

Earlier this week, two bills were introduced by Representative Zalewski and Senator Raoul to protect your right to play fantasy sports in Illinois.

If you're like us and you believe that fantasy sports is fun, entertaining, and a game of skill, click here to tell your legislators that you support this bill.

Send your legislators a note, telling them you support bills SB 2193, HB 4323 and any other measure that would protect your ability to play fantasy sports in Illinois.

Fantasy sports build community -- and now it's time for our community to stand together to protect the game we love.

Make sure your legislators hear from you. Tell them you support keeping fantasy sports accessible for all in Illinois.

Together, we can protect #FantasyForAll.

Thank you,

DraftKings
