I don't see how drinking something (non-alcoholic, of course) could be considered distracted driving any more than changing the radio station.

I read that a woman got a ticket for distracted driving for putting on lip balm while stopped at a stop light, which, if true, is preposterous.

I'm on one of the tollways almost every day for work. I cannot tell you how many state troopers and sheriff's police that I see who are driving and holding a cellphone to their ear at the same time.
