I'm interested to see how Hoiberg is going to use him. I actually think he may try and use him as stretch five in order to maximize the matchup. He appears to be a steal. I want to see him during the regular season. He is really going to have to fight for minutes due to the log jam at the 4 and 5, but he has game. No doubt about it.

Here's hoping Hoiberg is flexible with his rotations. There's some real creative possibilities with this roster depending on their opponent.

I'm kind of wondering about that one & the Durant love for MVP myself. Relying on a seven footer to comeback from the injuries he suffered and to play at championship/MVP level over an 82 game season seems overly optimistic.

I think most "experts" expect Golden State to take step back and for San Antonio to have some rotation issues with Aldrige being added to the mix. Maybe that explains the OK City love.

I think they are factoring in the additions that have been made to the roster over the past year. They have upgradeded the talent. OKC were favorites prior to Durant and Westbrook's injuries and they are figuring that they should be even better now. The additions of Waiters, Kanter and "emergence" of Adams make them legit. They also cut bait with Kendrick Perkins's bum ass, which makes it addition by subtraction.

Only teams with shit coaching would have a tough time adding LaMarcus Aldridge to any rotation. I think GS and SA are clearly still the teams to beat.

Never bought in to GS but hey, they won so they should still be good. SA will be much better with LaMarcus, but they will really be a halfcourt team, so they may not impress in the regular season but they should be the favorites out of the west when it comes time for playoffs. I think this is the year LeBron breaks down body-wise.

I'm interested to see OKC's offense under Donovan. Brooks ran an offense that was extremely predictable. It was isolation intensive. Simply give it to Durant or Westbrook and watch them go. It was extremely perimeter oriented. Kanter can score on the block. Waiters's game is entirely isolationist too. Donovan is going to have reign in Westbrook and Durant if they are going to win anything. They don't trust their teammates enough. That was always their biggest problem in my book.

Do you think Donovan brings the "college" mentality along? He's a Pitino disciple no? Rick had the Celtics running a full court press night in and night out for about half a year. Then again, he was doomed and should've resigned the night they lost the lottery and the right to select Duncan.

He is not going to press. It doesn't work in the NBA. it's not really used in college anymore either. Few teams may use it but it's not used nearly as much as it used to be. Pros definitely don't want it because it wears them out. It also gets exploited at that level due to the skill of the players in the pros.
