One of my guys keeps emailing me as if this is a playoff contender. Wants me to admit they arent as bad as I thought they would be.

Well coached, few mistakes, stay in games, try and steal some late.

MAYBE they will favored in 2 more games this year SF and TB..and that by no means tells you they are going to win those games.

2-4 is still 2-4.

Can they beat MINN...sure. Minn doesnt have a threatening consistant offensive team. Bears can run the ball, kill the clock, get 1 or 2 turnovers and kick a FG to win ...thats the recipe to win this game and means nothing.

Taking a look at the remaining games, there are only 2 games that appear to be definite losses. The Bears wont win 8 more games, but those 8 teams are all beatable.

He's like 23 years old , only getting better week by week. He's going to tear the Bears apart..he's already better than Cutler and he's 19 games into his long career.

bears fans thinking they'll make the playoffs are sounding like linus hoping for the great pumpkin to arrive.

I think they will beat the 49ers, Bucs, Redskins, and maybe the Vikings once. Who knows about that last game against the Lions. 6-7 wins still sounds about right.

I think six more wins is probable. But 8-8 won't cut it. They need eight more wins, meaning they have to beat two out of these four teams to get in: GB, STL, SD and DEN. The rest they can beat.

Of their remaining games, I expect several to be close and can go either way; Minnesota (2), SD, STL, SF, Washington, TB and Detroit are all games that the Bears can win although they will probably go, at best, 5-3 in those games, and more realistically 4-4 or 3-5 in these games.

It's hard to see them winning vs. Denver or Green Bay though.

I think, they can max out at 7 wins, but are probably in the 5 or 6 range.

He's on pace to throw 14 TD's this year. In 16 games. You need a brain exam or watch more football.

He's 22 ... Relax .. He throws more TDs than picks and is only improving every game... He's much better than Cutler and he's only 22. He's going to tear the Bears up for a decade.. This weekend is only a start of what's to com .

He's not much better than Cutler RIGHT NOW, which is what we are currently discussing. As others have mentioned, his age has no bearing on the current discussion. As of right now, he is not a very good quarterback.

the vikings are benefiting from an easy schedule. they've beaten the chargers, the lions, and the chiefs, who have a collective win total of 5. bridgewater hasn't exactly been lighting it up. they're one of those teams that power rankings bloggers are calling "the best team no one's talking about". they're not talking about them because they're just beating shitty teams. big whoop.

Well they are going to beat a shitty team again on Sunday.. You can only beat the teams on your schedule.. QBR rates Can Newton as dogshit..but he's good.
