People call 911 and they call because they need help NOW.....not looking for a dicsussion.

Also, why dooesnt the Bears had of Security have a phone number direct to the Lake Forest Police????

Those 911 operators must be trained to separate emergencies from prank/weak calls because she was in no hurry. I agree that one would think anyone calling 911 needs help now, but I bet they get a lot of garbage calls. Besides, I am sure they get the ball rolling on police heading out while they keep the caller on the line.

People call for the dumbest non emergency shit. I'm guessing that most of the Lake Forest community fall into this group. I'll ask a dispatcher we know for stories but the last one that stuck with me was a person called 911 because a deer was in their yard. The needed an officer dispatched right away so they could shoot it. She was on the phone for 10 minutes because you cannot hang up on them.

But yes if the Chicago Bears call you, they should have a response right away.

But once again, its Lake Forest and I would guess most companies in Lake Forest dont have security detail made up of ex FBI guys working for them. Who, due to the high profile nature of the company or team, would have a direct line to the Chief of Police in Lake Forest. I would assume they have stalkers, they have police escorts, speeding tickets, etc etc...the need to be linked to the police of the town you are in are numerous....yet, here they are still calling 911 talking to a girl, who seems to barely understand where they are..and who they are.

Thanks to TMZ for bleeping out the address of Halas Hall...Now we will never know which house it is on Football Drive!

Plus its like right across the street from Lake Forect Municpal Service...basically City Hall!

Dispatchers are trained to be as calm and as matter of fact as possible. It comes off almost as being sarcastic but in a true life and death emergency this helps them get the "who what when where" out of truly panicked people very quickly and efficiently.

Just because it's Lake Forest doesn't necessarily mean anything. In fact some of the rich people are probably stupider than most and would be more likely to call for something truly meaningless.

There has to be more to it for Ratliff to have wanted to go postal on Pace and the rest of the staff.

The Bears security guy was clearly pissed that it came to him having to call 9-1-1. That' he couldn't handle it. And he was guarded in what he was saying because he knew the call would become public. That's why he said "I'll tell the cop when he gets here."

My guy says that too.
