Very sloppy, yet somehow entertaining 1st half.

I'm still leery of the second unit generating much offense with both Gibson and Noah out there at the same time. As much as they say they like playing together, they don't look too cohesive out there on the offensive end.

Bad basketball by both teams in the first half.

The sideline reporter, Vincent Goodwill, might be the worst I've seen doing that job.

What the hell was that? Why didn't he try to drive or drive and kick?

I'm gonna need a better offensive possession than what we got there at the end of regulation. Rose dribbling out the clock only to launch a long two is not going to get the job done. I think I'd rather have the ball in Butler's hands anyway.

They were gonna collapse on him if he drove. Somebody would have had a better, more open shot than the one he took. Even if he makes it, it's not the right play.

Rose dribbles the ball too high. He gets it knocked away a lot. Yet he still does it. Even while just dribbling to set the offense. Defender wacks at the ball and knocks it away or out of bounds. Every fucking game. And he doesnt change. Rose can still take it to the hole but he will NEVER be great again. He is an average NBA PG. He is now old Allen Iverson. Thats sad.

Anybody notice he doesn't dribble below the knees as much as he did pre-surgeries?

I'm okay with it. He made a couple big shots in the final minutes and went up high to grab that last rebound in regulation before missing. He wanted to relive the shot he made over Brandon Jennings a few years ago. He missed terribly this time. Maybe he saw two baskets with his double vision. Doesn't care though. That's Kobe mentality.

Its obvious to anyone outside of the Bulls organization that Jimmy is the "man" on the Bulls. I'd bet most of the team agrees but wont say.

That final possession in regulation had me screaming. Just awful.

hey guys, has dan bernstein taught you nothing?

THE BULLS NEED TO LEARN HOW TO LOSE! this loss gets us closer to a championship because now the bulls arent trying to win every possession, every game, and etc etc.... so i'm thinking once they learn how to lose then and only then will they finally be ready to win!

hopefully they'll get another L on sunday so bernstein can tell us how this is going according to plan.

you know how jimmy buckets just got 5/95? yeah? well remember how rose was talking about how he looks forward to free agency?

how much do you wanna bet that rose wanted the bulls to let jimmy walk and save up their $$$ to throw the full boat max extension at him? maybe since signing jimmy to 5/95 is seen (by rose and only rose?) as an impediment to giving derrick a full boat extension maybe he's thinking the bulls "chose" jimmy going forward and when he hits free agency he's gonna go get the full boat somewhere else while the bulls stick with jimmy butler?

...at least it'd explain why derrick was at media day talking about how awesome free agency will be. and that would likely mean that he saw the butler extension as a potential tipping of the hand at the likely-derrick-issued-ultimatum "it's either him or me" -- i bet you dollars to donuts whether right or wrong derrick thinks that the bulls picked "him" so his gloating about free agency = derrick's "revenge" on the bulls for keeping that other guy who wants to take over derrick's team!
