Come on Bears. We need this winner. It'll be one step closer to .500!

Jay Cutler is a warrior!

It's a Bears Victory Monday!

That's a good loss. Congrats to the defense for helping the cause at the end!

Fantastic game by Cutler. Great to see him be able to break 200 yards with his 211 yards and his 6.3 YPA.

That type of player is hard to find. Bears are so lucky to have him.

three plays cost them the game:

1) the open-field tackle whiff on the vikings' game-tying TD (cuz once the WR got out from that tackle he walked in for ~40-50yds)

2) the drop on 3rd and 5, especially after cutler did so well to keep the play alive and avoid the rush to have that open up right there for a first down. man you really really felt the loss of forte there

3) the big passing play that got them into FG range.... antrel rolle was so sure of an INT he stopped covering his guy and waited for the ball to come to him, which gave the WR time to box him out and outjump him just a little bit to get the ball a few inches above rolle's outstretched hands. that was killer cuz if you remember there's a WR you're supposed to defend maybe you eschew the INT and defend the pass? idk.

but yeah those 3 plays killed the bears.... and it's a shame to lose another one like this.... even tho i'm sure bernstein is happy that the bears are gonna get that higher draft pick.

The Bears defense gave up 16 points. Thats a win for pretty any other team with a QB earning over 15 million bucks.

Good to see you're on board with all of the football experts in the Tribune who sing the same tune. Best coached 2-5 team in the league. Apparently those 2 blowout victories over powerhouse opponents were very convincing.

As GD once said, it gets better from here.

This - on the other hand - goes against the current expert line of thinking. From everything I've read and heard, only Rosenbloom wasn't buying into the "new Cutler" that Gase has unleashed.

Course... I'm happy. Still loving my Bears under 7 and I had Minnesota -1.5.
Sooooo.... yeah. Wagering against the Beloved has been profitable this season.

I know this is supposed to be passive-aggressive, but what exactly is the argument? Are you insinuating that Cutler is immune from criticism? I know that objective statistical analysis is looked down upon by many, but here is where Cutler ranks in the NFL in the important QB statistical categories (not including TD's or interceptions since he was injured for a bit and those are aggregate stats)...

Completion %: 25 out of 32
Yards per attempt: 21 out of 32
QB Rating: 20 out of 32

I wouldn't blame the lost game today on Cutler (and no one mentioned Cutler until you did), but I wouldn't act like his performance this year is somehow good. It's not. And he has a good offensive line with plenty of weapons. How is the 20th best quarterback (or lower) in the NFL immune from criticism?

Bears run defense was terrible. The special teams play was terrible. Their secondary was terrible. If Bridgewater was as good today as he should have been this could have been a real blowout. The playcalling (particularly the bubble screens to Royal) was terrible.
Cutler had one real sweet play to Jeffery on that TD catch but other than that was super Vanilla with the possible exception of his TD run, which on the surface was a great play but extremely dumb when you see him flying in there headfirst. Really should have been short of the goal if you ask me (you didn't).

Stop it. All star coaching staff keeping them close...that's a sign of improvement.

Giving up that punt return TD didn't help, either.

I have very strong doubts that Bridgewater ever becomes a very good QB.

Cutler sucks.

When you pay a guy franchise top end money, he needs to better than the 20th best. Same with Jon Lester.
