I think that is ultimately how cops become tough to deal with. The bullshit that they endure can be pretty overwhelming at times.

Oh hell yeah. In war there is supposed to to be no holds barred but now a days with the pussies we got running this country we have to let the bad guys know we are coming before we shot at them if it is okay.

I am putting up number from people who are experts in the military. I don't just grab numbers out of my ass.
If you look at a Infantry Divisions T.O.E. and look at the numbers of front like infantrymen and compare them to the rest of numbers in the unit and do some basic math.
As I said I can give you some books to look the stuff I reference but you are probably to stoned to fucking comprehend them.
Im not saying doing the drone stuff is not stressful but compared to a street cop, no way you have no contact with you subjects , you look at a video screen and do at most one "encounter" per day. How many encounters do police do every single day? How many times to they have to deal with people who treat them with contempt and disrespect just because they are police? You are the guy who does not seem to have a clue.
As I said I am a Military Historian,did not serve, I thank everyone who has . I bet a know a l0ot more than you do about a lot of the Military and what is going on in the world.

Infantry aren't the only ones who see combat action. I don't need books on this; I promise I know way more about this topic than you ever will.

It's not about dealing with assholes. Anyone who is not a sociopath/psychopath would tell you they would much rather deal with someone who is an asshole than be ordered to kill a bunch of people you will never meet, and who will never face a trial before their death. Drone operators are more likely to encounter ptsd than any other single current MOS in the military at the current moment. Again, you're very far from a historian or authority on this subject, so I would just stop now while you're behind.

Military Historians typically write books, work at universities or places like say West Point, and make a living teaching military history. If I recall correctly you work form home in some sort of call center supervisory capacity.

I could be wrong though. Please post your published works and I'll reconsider my position.

I agree, but now you're talking DEA, SWAT, ATF etc..they do think they are conducting raids like Military..They have the weapons and Gear and attitude like this is Afghanistan in a remote village. Its really sad..

Respect is a two way street, Many Cops show none and demand it in return.. That ain't right and it don't fly with many of us.. Sure you got plenty of sheeple to fall in line and obey without question. Body Cameras with audio would go a Long way to getting police to act more professional and be treated better in return.

The biggest problem recently is that it no longer is just DEA, SWAT, ATF, etc. You have suburbs of 60,000 people and less than 1% violent crime who are requesting goddamn Bearcats and rocket launchers. Makes no fucking sense.


Cops need to learn that respect has more than one definition. Respect can mean "treating someone like a human being" or it can mean "treating someone like an authority". Cops think if you don't treat them like an authority, they are right not to treat you like a human being.
