It worked for a little while in the 70s. At least for me as a Sox fan. But you have to be better than they are and for longer to be a true villain.

Yeah, I guess if they had won last year, I could buy it. They still have a little of the little engine that could going on

Plus Hosmer is their leader and he seems like a choir boy

The only thing I hate about them is they outplay my White Sox. They look young and hungry...that's easy to like. I don't think they're a fluke...they're going to be tough to beat.

But they have your favorite manager.

Trevor Bauer during last nights game against the Royals. This should probably go in the shoutout section.

Bad news in KC.

Alex Gordon carted off the field.

Yost saying he could be gone for quite awhile.

The Brewers have the perfect replacement, say hello to Gerardo Parra.

Wade Davis over the past calendar year, including postseason: 85.1 IP, 49 H, 19 BB, 112 SO, 0 HR, 7 R, 0.63 ERA. Umm, yeah.

Agreed.

(& as a Sox fan born in the 60's-in KC, of age during the great George Brett era...I must admit to loving the Royals.
I actually still have a Bo Jackson Royals jersey   )

With their resurgence, the Dennis Leonard biopic is back on over at Sony. Seth Rogen starring.

Really?!?

For someone who never made an All Star team (but was great), but was a Royals leader, I'm in.

Royals have really given up a lot at this trade deadline

So would you classify them as a team that is going for it this year, and not looking at the next 2 to 3 years to get better?

I think they know they are good for the next 2-3 years even without those players. They also know they are better this year with the players they acquired.

The Royals lose for the first time in 111 games, when leading after the 7th inning.

Royals bullpen in the World Series:

IP: 23-2/3
H: 16
ER: 5
K: 30
BB: 4
ERA: 1.90
WHIP: 0.85

Mets bullpen in the World Series:

IP: 21-1/3
H: 17
ER: 10
K: 11
BB: 8
ERA: 4.22
WHIP: 1.17

The Mets had the lead in the eighth inning or later in four of the five games. I guess bullpens are important.

My favorite play of the series. He should have been out by a mile.

Just look at all that human suffering. Ha ha ha!

This team is not to be fucked with. Someone tell me how they're not going to be in the World Series again this year.
