+1

With Clemens' bs to get out of Toronto & his on field bouts of roid rage, it's going to bite him right where Petitte used to stick him.

I don't think any "cheater" will get in until they are dead, at least.

If the HGH group is going in, Clemens has to be a part of it.

Agreed.

Sosa, McGwire, Bonds, Palmeiro and Clemens are all together in this thing.

Disagree.. Bonds was clearly hof before the PEDs.. I wouldn't put McGuire in even if he was clean..he was never a great player. Clemens was a lifelong juicer, his going in front of Congress was an embarrassment hell never live down.

Bonds on PEDs was something NOBODY has ever seen..he got walked most of the time( even with bases loaded) When he got a pitch..he crushed it..he could have 150 homers a year.

Im not saying that's how I would have it. I question McGwire too but Im saying what I think the reality is.

I'll never be mad at Bonds because even if people did 2x the juice he ever did they'd never look as good as this...

Bonds a HOF even without the PEDs. At some point, he will get in while the others stay out. Clemens stays out with the other phonies.

No way Bonds gets in if the others don't, the guys at the Major League Baseball offices hate that fucker probably more than anybody.

Bonds and Clemens put up such big numbers that they will eventually get in. All the rest of the steroid guys will not.

Why? Clemens is the biggest jerkoff out of all the Ped users. McGuire second.

I know that's a popular narrative, but we really have no idea when Bonds started juicing. He may have been using run of the mill stuff and then that wasn't good enough and he found Balco.

Anyway, if you let one guy in on the numbers, you should let them all in. Larry Walker is a definite Hall of Famer on his numbers. He's penalized by Colorado for a big chunk of his career too.

I dont see how you can keep Sosa and his 600 Homeruns out once you let one steroid guy in

Which comes first:

The Cubs have a Sammy Sosa Day and/or retire #21, or Sosa gets into the HOF?

<Mike Murphy> I predict....

Sosa will be in attendance at this year's Cub convention.

I agree, but therein lies the problem. I could never believe that Sosa was the player that Dave Parker was and Parker probably doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame. I'd say the same about Palmeiro. He was never as good as Will Clark. Will Clark was a very good player but he's no Hall of Famer, so how could I put Palmeiro in?

Ty Cobb killed a guy.

Allegedly.

""In 1912 — and you can write this down — I killed a man in Detroit."

Ty Cobb

doubtful he killed somebody, but if three guys attack me and in the melee one of them gets killed, kudos to me.

On a side note, check out "Cobb" starring Tommy Lee Jones as Ty.

Very underrated flick and one of the better baseball films out there.

Mmm....not sure about that. I mean TLJ was good but Robert Wuhl is worthless and really the whole story was "check out this asshole"

I wanted more

What more is there when it comes to Cobb?

I loved it when the other HOF's wouldn't let him in their Hotel party and he was shocked. Great acting there by Jones.
