So, you wanna talk about a team that is heading in the wrong direction? The Flame. One of last season's surprises made the playoffs and actually won their first-round series against the Canuck ( ). They locked up most of their core and signed Michael Frolik and trade some pretty high draft picks ( 2015 1st and two 2nds) to Boston for Dougie Hamilton, and signed him to a multiyear deal.
The result so far? 6-11-1. Yikes! They had already dumped goalie Karri Ramo off to the A briefly after signing him in the offseason for $3.8M, and apparently had tried to trade him (or Hiller - whoever they could get rid of first) beforehand, but had no takers (he's back and playing tonight). Other trade rumors are already flying, and it seems the Flame are in all-out panic mode.

Hawks coming off a hard-fought but satisfying 4-2 win over the Assfuckers in St. Louis. While I hope the Hawks can extend the Flames misery, they have to be a bit beaten up after last night's pounding. Still, a home loss tonight against this team would be a real bummer.

Hawk 5, smoldering bodies 2.

The Flames, now that's a team that's underachieving. Good lord. Shame, as I really thought and hoped Gaudreau, Monahan, and Bennett would usher in a new era of elite Flames hockey.

Good period with some damn fine chances. I hope to hell, though, this isn't a game where we put 37 shots on Ramo with nothing to show for it, and they squeak one of their 19 shots in on Darling.

when i think of "elite flames hockey" i look no further than Jarome Arthur-Leigh Adekunle Tig Junior Elvis Iginla.

seriously, i look no further than him cuz by the time i finish reading his full name my eyes get tired and i'm ready to go to bed. but yeah, i love how when his parents were deciding on his middle name they couldn't come up with a proper #1 choice so they just went with ALL of their choices and then even threw in an "Elvis" for good measure.

where does JALATJE-Ig (think A-Rod) rank in the parthenon of all time great cal-gary flamers?

Best player the franchise has ever had. From there, you can arrange Al MacInnis, Joe Nieuwendyk, Mike Vernon, Gary Roberts, and Doug Gilmour as you wish, though it bears mentioning that all three are as known or better known for their tenures with other teams (Blues, Stars and/or Devils, Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Maple Leafs again) as they are with the Flames, a problem that Iginla will never have no matter how many more times he suits up for the shitty Avs. Full disclosure: Jarome Iginla was one of my favorite players back in high school and I yearned for the Hawks to trade for him in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Incidentally, the Stars traded Iginla to the Flames (as a pick or prospect, forget which, don't care) for Nieuwendyk and then won the Cup with him. Win-win trade.

i just wanna point out that i've been sitting outside (enjoying quite possibly the last nice night of the year) with hawks radio on in the background and i've heard no less than 2-3 commercials for an institute that's there to help people with curved penises.

seriously what the fuck kind of demographic is listening to blackhawks radio to get these ads targeted at them? .....HOW DID THEY KNOW ABOUT ME?!?!? WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!!!??! =/

you need to listen to more blackhawks radio, mon frere. in today's age of anti-exceptionalism you have to go get your penis straightened out cuz you dont wanna trigger the young straightdicks of the world who will start to feel inadequate that god had pleasure in mind when he invented us and NOT them.

Secord was an esteemed Black Hawk. Gilmour spent half a year or so here in the dark age and left presumably when he couldn't find another babysitter to fuck.

Two solid wins in a row. Darling looked pretty good, especially in the third. Revamped 4th line looked good for two nights in a row as well.

Nice way to go into the circus trip with a good chance of taking the next two.

that was a thoroughly entertaining game.... i dont even know the score off the top of my head, i just know that the hawks got a bunch and cal-gary got 2 i think.... so uhhh....4-2? and it was only iced by that empty netter in the end/

seriously tho, i come out of this game a much better man because now i know there are resources, no, FRIENDS out there who will help me to stop terrorizing the world with my nightmarishly curved penis that has left only a trail of devastation and orgasms all over the continental united states since 1994. i thought i was the only one.... i thought there was no hope for an incubus like me.... but indeed, tinight i found out there's hope for me....and maybe, just maybe, i should go listen to marty mcsorely and get that much-needed help fr my curved shaft.

(watch me milk something i learned from CH tonight for hockey cred.... CH can i post that mock commercial you wrote up? plz)

but yeah good game hawks fans and true believers AND maybe even the aforementioned hairo curioso. he's the only guy here real enough to look at the standings in the west and go "holy shit" and have legit fears for HIS team, as opposed to real blackhawks fans who have no worries and no fears about chicago's winningest team going out and handling biz when it counts like they have always done since the beginning of time.... you know, 2008 or 2009 =D

Hawks almost back up to .600, which is nice. Three points in the next four gets them back up to 6-in-5. Two weeks of Duncan Keith that I didn't think we'd have will help immensely.

Wednesday night will be the Hawks' final visit to the Northlands Coliseum after 36 seasons of NHL service. I'll miss you and your idiosyncratic bench-side cameras.

from another thread here's curious hair killing it on the curved penis commercial tip....

Curious Hair wrote:
Do you remember the infamous Marty McSorley penalty from the 1993 Final where the Habs bench had the refs investigate his stick blade for an illegal curve, scoring on the ensuing power play? Could you imagine getting McSorley to do the celebrity endorsement for dick-straightening? Imagine him doing the read in that dead-eyed monotone all hockey players read ad copy in: "Hi. I am NHL legend Marty McSorley. When I'm not enforcing. I know a thing or two about having too much curve on my blade. Take it from me. You don't want to get caught with an illegal stick. Especially. In the bedroom. Call my friend Dr. Marty Ginsberg at TrueDong Reconstructive Services so you don't get two minutes or more. For an illegal stick."

In our youth we came up with cock dominance theory. The curve on the cock is based on quantity and savagery that it's beaten with. It will cower away from the hand that beats it.

Post trigger warning. Had it ever been pointed out that the term trigger warning could in fact be a trigger against those that have been the victim of gun violence.
