4-5 in the NFC Puts you right in it! With an average schedule coming up.

7-9 Could be a Wildcard team?

Too many NFC and division losses. Had they won against Minnesota or Detroit, maybe.

Bears are the most improved team in the NFL since week 1. Packers have regressed more than any team in the NFL since week 1.

2006 the Giants made it as a 8-8 wildcard. In 2004, the Rams and Saints were both .500 and won wildcard spots. Prior to that, you can find a few teams in the days of the three divisions and three wildcards that were 8-8.

The last time a team with a losing record won a wildcard was 1982 when Cleveland made it with a 4-5 record.

Edit: Also Detroit apparently. And there were 16 wildcard teams that year, so really increased the odds of a loser getting in.

ok, i'm going to correct you here because that is still a sore spot for me. the saints were the hottest team in the NFL coming into that week and actually won 4 games in a row to get to 8-8. but you know what happened? the fucking vikings lost to back into the playoffs, and the saints lost out. they did not make the playoffs. it was some kind of tiebreaker. i think the rams were the team that got the saints' spot.

The 5th and 6th place teams already have 6 wins. Will take a minimum of 9-7 and probably 10-6 for the Bear due to tie break. So basically we are headed to around 8-8 and the 13th or 14th pick in the draft.

Biggie, somebody needs to cut your Bears Kool Aid with some ice cubes.

Falcons and Packers, current wild card positions, already have 6 wins.

I sit corrected! Sorry to open up those old wounds -- Joe Horn would not forgive me for such a mistake! :)

Manning's career is over but it looks like he wont let Kubiak bench him. The Broncos defense really isn't that much better than the Rams (esp without Talib or Ware). This game, and .500, should be a gift.

Bears would have to catch up to the Falcons and/or Packers.

Unlikely. There's probably good money to be made if you really believe that though.

Why the hell would a 4-5 Bears team even mention the idea of a wildcard spot?

Broncos
@ Packers
49ers
Gregskins
@ Vikings
@ Buccaneers
Lions

Well, I guess that's why.

Yes

Obviously, anything is possible. I'd be very surprised if they won five of those games. They are going to lose one of the TB, SF, DET games.

Of the 3, I would guess, maybe the Detroit game.

You can tell FarveFan is starting to panic

He's going to be chocking on his giblets when the Bears and Packers are 6-5 by the end of Thanksgiving Day
