No panic here. I don't have high expectations for the Pack this year. I just find some of this chirping pretty amusing. After Thanksgiving when the Bears are 4-7 a lot of these same posters will pretend they knew the Bears sucked the whole time.

that is exactly what you are doing in the same post

don't worry, I'm sure they'll be ok as Rodgers career continues to wind down

I like that Bear fans are confident enough in their team to start chirping at Packer fans again. It's been a quiet past few years.

When Rodgers comes out of the closet and retires to Frisco to open an artisan bread shop, Green Bay will be back in the cheese cellar where it belongs.

You guys said that when Favre left. We'll just get another all-time great to play the position again.

Manning being out is another gift.

Manning is a game manager now and smart enough to beat a Bears tteam without real talent.

I dont think any team they pay from this point out is close to a sure loss.

Really? Weren't you calling them the best team in the NFC not long ago?

When they were 6-0 and before they lost three in a row?

I said I don't think anybody in the NFC is better than them. The three straight losses, one to the Lions, obviously changes that. Expectations change as the season evolves. That's common sense, sort of like how when I said that there were no Bear fans talking about them as a playoff team, and now several are.

Ok well I misunderstood you point. I thought you were saying you did not have high expectations for them at any point this year.

Lets be clear, making the playoffs doesnt make me feel any better about this team. They are doing exactly what I thought they would do. few mistakes, play solid, stay in the games.

The OL is the only area of the team that has really improved...which is a huge thing for any team to control the clock...

This is Lovie's dream, run the clock, drive down, get a FG, maybe a TD, fall back into Cover 2 and make them beat you deep, stop them on a 3rd down, get the ball back...run 8 minutes of clock.

Its a great recipe to beat at least half the teams in the NFL...doesnt make you good, just better than the bottom half. Lovies career record is the testimony for this brand of football.

Whoop ass on the bottom half, get your ass kicked v the top half. Get a #15 overall pick and repeat next year.

Well, I guess that's why.

You see 5-2 in there?

Every one of these games is winnable for the Bears. The beloved should win 4 or 5 of these games

I'm just all the more pissed off about the Minnesota and Detroit games at this point. At least when I was in the "this team is going to suck anyway so you should root for a draft pick" mode, I could take some solace in sitting through those losses. Now that the Bears actually look decent and those losses might mean something, it's like salt is being rubbed in the wound.

By far, the least excited I have been for a Bears team/ Maybe it my years catching up to me, but cant even count the number of years, that they probably had worse teams and I looked ahead and figured "if they could just win that game and that game, and Minnesota could lose by 70, while Washington and Dallas tie...we might have a shot!"

Now I think they have more than a shot, if Zach Miller stays the best TE in football! lol

Would really like to see the Offense open up a bit, some double back sets were Forte is really a WR or running a short pattern, LAngford with some draw play action.

Want to have higher expectations, but I dont....which might be good

Superbowl?

THIS.
7-9 football hell. Beating St. Louis was nice, but this is the same team that had the Vikings beat at home and completely shit the bed.

let's reign it in bit here. This team is NOT going to the playoffs.

And have you all seen Minnesota's 2nd half schedule? Difficult.

Quote:
REMAINING OPPONENTS: vs. Packers (6-3), at Falcons (6-3), vs. Seahawks (4-5), at Cardinals (7-2), vs. Bears (4-5), vs. Giants (5-5), at Packers (6-3)

None of those teams are any good except the Cardinals.

That being said I don't see the Vikings winning but 1 or 2 at the most.

Falcons really spit the bit today. I guess we're rooting for them to fall off more than any other team at this point.

Could really use a Seattle loss to Pitt since Bears have tie breaker over no one in front or tied with them.

The good thing, though, is that The Bears have exactly one game left against all division opponents, so they have the opportunity to even-up all head-to-head NFC North tie-breakers.

Regardless of the losses to Detroit and Minnesota and any issues that causes with tie-breakers for Chicago, they probably have to win all of their remaining games and get to 10-6 in order to feel relatively good about a playoff spot. If they do that, they will probably be in good shape.

Chances are, they will be 6-6 after this weekend. If they can't beat the 49ers at home with 10 days of rest, it doesn't matter anyways.
