Jack is still fantastic with Ginger Ale, but I've moved on from Whiskey since discovering good Tequila.

Casa Noble Reposado....$40 a bottle and pure beauty.

I have a bottle of Walker Blue that I am looking to share with the right person.

I've never heard someone describe Jack as being too sweet.

Like Hussea mentioned,it's too syrupy sweet. Can't stand it unless I'm cutting it and I do not like to cut my liquor.

Whiskey/Tequila is not an either/or proposition. you can add gin, vodka, beer, wine, brandy, or any other esoteric booze you can think of.

not a zero sum game.

If you mean for the rest of your life, sure ... obviously. But I don't know that I'm going to want to bounce around from one to the other on the same night, assuming it's all being had neat and not, say, in mixed drinks.

Man, I'm retired from that silliness ... too damn broke, too.

As an aside, I prefer reposado over 'regular' tequila ... people that think tequila is awful should give that type a try sometime.

Agreed. I like both, but for the last 4 years, I've had no interest in Whiskey...it's good, but once my last bottle of Macallan disappeared, I've never bought another bottle.
