Maybe it's because I don't drink coffee at all but I'm also surprised to see moderate consumption defined as 3 to 5 cups a day. Seems like a lot.

I'm a pot a day guy myself - but "healthy".

No sugar, cream, sweet substitutes, flavor syrups, additives, etc.

I do agree 3-5 cups seems a bit more than "moderate"...

Yeah I would imagine all the added stuff makes a big difference. A cup of black coffee might be good for you but a dunkin donuts french vanilla swirl iced latte? probably not so much.

3-5 cups a day doesn't seem like a lot, IMO.
