I gotta be honest, at first glance I thought it was a horribly heartbreaking day for that family. And it is.

But then it kinda strikes me, just a little, as the most painfully romantic thing ever. I've lived through elderly people that live many years without their lifelong love. It's excruciating for them. They just just seem to.....bide their time. It's awful because they are miserable.

This is heartbreaking for the children and grandchildren, for sure, but for Flutie's mom and pop, this might be the most perfect thing ever.

I don't disagree with this, as I often worry about my mom as I know she is lonely without my dad. Also, if my mom would have died first there is no doubt in my mind, my father would have followed her rather quickly. Miss my dad.
