California has border stations on I-5, I-10, I-8, I-80 and US-6. They are mandatory. Florida has a couple too (75 and 95 IIRC, I didn't run to FL often.)

I hate to speak on such an important topic without being 100 percent certain of the facts, but something tells me there are other roads that go in and out of California and Florida.

There aren't too many roads into California. The terrain getting into the state from OR and NV is brutal, very expensive road building, and there are absolutely no people living out there. The West is a very different place, mind you. So yea, I'd assume there are a couple roads you could use (probably from AZ) but you are conspicuous just traveling on them because they only serve about 50 cars daily.

The check station off US-6 was only open a few times out of the many I made the crossing there.

I don't know if the people of Mumbai are representative of how the majority feel ( i don't think they are) but it is good to see.

I don't know. But I can tell you for certain I have no desire to live in a country, a state, or a municipality that is majority Muslim. And I think non-Muslims who equate Islam in 2015 with other religions of today, would find out pretty quickly that they don't want to either.

Mumbai has had their fair share of terrorist activity over the last 20 years. I don't think they have much tolerence for the muslim extremists. The last 2 have been within the last 7 years or so.
