The Hawks have done that for years and it has been successful. I have not heard one complaint from a tribe in the Midwest. This "new" logo garbage is actually originating in Canada.

In fact, the only time you hear complaints about the Hawks logo, it's when some SJW mental midget fuckwad like Tim Baffoe writes an article about it when no one is complaining about it.

It's also just one or two people. I'm sure that's not a consensus.

I don't care one way or the other. I'm not advocating for the Hawks to kill their famous logo. I actually posted this thread because one of my friends' SJW college kid linked the article on Facebook and I found it funny that he actually took time out from defending refugees he has never met and championing the intellectual dishonesty of Reza Aslan to worry about a hockey sweater. But I will say that if you're offended by the use of a people as mascots or as a representation for logos, the Hawks Indian head really shouldn't be some untouchable exception. No, it isn't Chief Wahoo. And it's not like they're called the "Redskins" or "Savages". In fact, they're one generation removed from being named after an actual Indian. Still, I find it far more offensive than the noble Chief Illiniwek logo.
